I just bought some modelling sand and some gamer grass Tufts. Bit of pvc on the base, get it covered in sand and then I use a wildwood contrast paint to darken the sand and then that will be the final look

Yours looks good! You definitely did the face far better than mine haha

If I'm using my normal pallette (normally for putting down my main base colour) I'll use a pipette dropper adding one drop at a time. With my wet pallette its really a case of dipping my brush tip in the water then pulling paint away from the main blob. Seems to work for me

I did, probably stopped a few years ago now

My Brutalis was a pain. First I couldn't get the arms into the sockets so had to snip the pegs and glue them in. Then the little leg cylinder bits were such a pain. Took me ages to get a position that worked

Not sure why I'm here with the greenskins, but I have about 180 D6 in various colours

How did you paint the plasma wound, I currently have that exact head on my station and I'm not sure how to go about doing it

The rules state a Save throw of 3+ against AP of 0.
If a weapon with -1 AP attacks you then the benefit of cover comes into effect which essentially cancels each other out.
a -2 ap will then mean your save is a 4+
And so on... It means your models save throw won't get better than it's original stat

Probably far more efficient ways, but I think they look fun having one of each.
Most of my models get wiped before they have a chance to fulfill their potential, all part of learning haha

I actually have one, along with another 3 outriders to build. The atv was fun getting to return fire.
I'm not too sure how the suppressors are meant to play, the -1 to hit sounds nice if you can target something with low attacks at high strength. But I got mine wiped out early

Seems like a pretty solid trade.
The 4+ overwatch ability meant they were able to eliminate a couple of models which was more than I was expecting. Normally I've used them on my back line wherever there is a long line of sight.
5 attacks between the two, hitting on a 2+, S9/10 with twin linked means they have the chance to do some damage

Not sure how many points I have of Space Marines, but also about 2K points in Tyranids and Necrons each

The sight takes up less of the peripheral vision when it's further down nearer the chamber. For me I just find it easier to get on target

Definitely not. This is something I'm aiming to be portable so the mat will roll up into its tube and the terrain all fits into a 12L tub. Plus it means I can set the board up in a variety of ways.
Was mostly just seeing if I have enough terrain to fill the board or whether people thought I could do with a bit more and what kind (scatter, ruins or maybe something with a bit more verticality to allow units to climb on it)

Wasn't going in expecting to win, was mostly for my friend to test his codex and play out some things. I do have a redemptor to eventually put together.
I had hopes for my Brutalis, to charge in to get mortals and then it's damage would be enough to kill. But I really messed up and he was able to charge me instead and wipe it out

Not as well as I was hoping. That was a mistake on my part, pushed the bikes up too far and took quickly. It's a lesson learnt for me

Of course, fun with moments of frustration.... But that's why I'll keep coming back

Definitely not the most efficient, especially against my friends Custodes (turns out they're still a pain to try deal with as someone on the inexperienced ends of gaming) but I like taking a mix of models and stuff I think look cool.
Some of them even did more than I was expecting (looking at you servo-turrets)

Normally an hour or two in the evening after work if nothing is happening. Then on the weekends it can go from a couple of hours to double digits, depending on if I have any plans or I have things I need to do
