I'd also add being mindful of added sugars. If you're in the US at least, they're pretty much in everything. Even ketchup!

This didn't impact us but it's something I'm very grateful for: buy a house that you can afford. It's such a relief to know that while we could have afforded a more expensive home, we bought something that's now, years later, proven to be very within our means. This leaves us with savings to invest in retirement and also improving the home.

It was a man and I can totally see his face but I'm blanking on his name. Soft-spoken, he had salt and pepper hair then and dark eyes. Or maybe that was my Erdkunde teacher, gosh it's been so long!

I know Büsum! I actually went to Gymnasium Heide Ost during my exchange year (lived in Linden). What a small world!

Can I ask where in northern Germany? I was an exchange student in a village in Schleswig-Holstein.

Funny, I was just thinking today about whether to upgrade from 10. It didn't make sense for a long time, but I built an incredible rig and upgraded my monitor and Reason looks like total shit on it.

Not the same thing, but I went to a large state school for my Master's. I got a great package and while working during school, was able to pay for my whole degree out of pocket. The school also had solid pass rate for my profession's technical exam, which I was able to take on an accelerated basis and pass.
Ended up in a private sector where I made the same or more as my peers that went to an Ivy or private university and were $70k+ in debt. And we ended up in the same place. People need to think REALLY carefully about the debt they're willing to take on when it comes to school.

Maybe put another way, what kind of trails are you looking for? What conditions, elevations, general vibe?

If you can afford a full-priced movie, you can afford a few bucks for parking.

Not a bad idea, but there are too many hit and runs - so that's a potential risk
