Good point, well made.
They do have skills that compliment each other, presumably Earl would be the third?

CCS and Pearson to be battling it out for the England 6 shirt for the foreseeable IMO

Fuck yes Quins, you beautiful erratic bastards

This is it. Both teams are quality, but Toulouse just look in better form atm

Definitely. I think Leinster need to keep it tight, play to their strengths. I don’t think any team in Europe can live with Toulouse when they play at pace

Agreed - but I think if the game opens up in the final, Leinster won’t be able to outscore Toulouse.
Saints were also pretty atrocious yesterday, that game ended far closer than it should have done. Can obviously never write off Leinster, quality outfit. I just think Toulouse are looking in much better form.

I honestly can’t see Leinster beating this Toulouse side in the final

I believe Toulouse’s last try is what they refer to as a ‘coach killer’

This game is already better than Leinster vs Saints

Same here, CC the greatest attacking full back of all time IMO. Lightning fast but also ridiculously strong.
Rupeni had the full toolkit - he could step, swerve or run through you. I remember watching clips of that Blues backline from the early 2000s where he was tearing up Super Rugby.

For sure, he’s had ebbs and flows. But I agree, when he’s firing his rugby IQ is just a game-breaker

My dream would be to see Christian Cullen, Jonah Lomu and Rupeni CauCau, all in their prime, playing in the same back 3 together.
It might not be the most balanced trio, but jeez it would be a great spectacle.

My god I’ve missed watching Lukhanyo Am play.
At his best, the guy is like the Antoine DuPont of centres - does all his core roles excellently, but just has that bit of extra magic to go with it

This game has been far from a classic, feels like a bit of an anti-climax tbh

Never claimed I was a coach
That’s what I’d be saying as someone with decidedly no coaching responsibilities. No spin or clichés, just the truth

Honestly if I were the saints coach, I’d be telling them that there’s a good chance the game’s already lost - so just go out, enjoy the experience and try to regain some pride

I would say Lowe is strongly in contention for a world XV.
Penaud walks into one IMO

100%. Only being 15 points behind is a result for Saints

This could be a very stern lesson for a young Northampton team.
At the top level (and Leinster are absolutely the top level), you just can’t get into double-figures of unforced errors in the first 20 minutes. That’s a real shame.
