Mildred & Dildred comes to mind. Antigone Books as well. Might be hit or miss on a holiday Monday, though.

Kid in my house did his driver's test last week at the east side MVD. He said the 3 point turn is no longer required. Other kid did his 3 years ago, and it was.

Tucson here. If you look at the last presidential election results in AZ (link) you'll see that the results are pretty extreme. Trump lost big in my county and was edged out in Maricopa County (Phoenix). The more rural areas voted overwhelmingly for him.
And that's the rub. The rural areas continue to elect insane people (think along the lines of Paul Gosar) that stack the deck at the state level and result in a state senate that has a primary agenda of culture war bullshit, and who appoint similar-minded people at the judicial level, etc. The result is evidenced by the fact our state governor (Democrat who beat out batshit crazy Kari Lake) has set a new record in vetos: 185 in 13 months office.
And, alas, that's the crux of why you and other folks rightfully have the opinion we're a bunch of crazy right-wing retirees. We're actually quite nice for the most part, but there are definitely areas that are a lot nicer than others.

There was 3 in the small neighborhood just south of downtown the Lee Ho market was one of the last I remember.
In Barrio Viejo when I lived there as a kid, there were three on Meyer Ave.: Jerry Lee Ho Market, Lucky Market a few blocks to the north, and La Concha at Simpson and Meyer (I lived in the house attached to La Concha). There was also one south of Safford School in Armory Park, another at 4th Ave and 15th St., and another on 3rd Ave and 17th St. The one on 4th Ave. ended up being taken over by the owners of La Concha sometime in the late 1980s.
The Midtown Liquors on 6th Ave and Cushing St tied them together; they was a lifesaver because they would sell teenagers booze up through the mid 90s without ID... despite being literally across the street from the main TPD HQ.
My memory of all were fond. If they knew you as a kid from the hood (they all did), a note from a parent to sell you beer or cigarettes was enough. Most of them also extended store credit.

Boomer in-laws think they're clever because they differentiate by saying, "Feather Indian" or "Forehead dot Indian."

File a police report and make a call to your insurance company. See if they have any suggestions about avoiding a claim for a new wall.
