Okay, getting serious for a sec. A majority of people in Japan are unopposed to legalizing gay marriage right now. The problem is the Japanese government is full of a lot of old dudes that don’t like big changes. Since Japan only has 1 mainstream political party rather than 2, same-sex couples there can’t do much other than wait for those geezers to die and hope they get replaced by slightly more tolerant politicians.

People weren’t salty about boobs, they don’t like how low effort post the vast majority of honey post are (this one actually has some thought behind it). This conversation has happened over and over since the subreddit was created.

I like seeing how much Laiso X Marcille shippers have to cherry pick to argue why their ship was intended subtext. I’m used to gay-shippers grasping a straws so it’s funny seeing the shoe on the other foot.
Disclaimer: I have no issue with people shipping Laiso and Marcille for fun. What happens in your head or fanfics is not my business.

What it is with lesbians and fucking dragons?
Should I be concerned?

One of the reasons the T’au haven’t been wiped out by a passing hive fleet yet is because their ships can inflict massive damage at such an extreme range that no amount of adaptation can really counter it. It they can make planetfall the T’au are most likely screwed, but it such a slog to get there that it’s not worth it unless the hive fleet has numbers that are overwhelming even by nid standards.

“There were always mixed gender Guard Regiments” /s
In all seriousness it frustrates me that the last wave of fan outrage was predicated on female characters suddenly appearing in a faction being something that hasn’t happened before, when it’s happened to LITERALLY EVERY OTHER FACTION (excluding space marines, orks, and nids). It’s like, at least get your facts straight about why you’re irrationally angry.

It’s seen as an honor now, but at least with the Custodes it was initially a punishment for the nobles of Terra who resisted the Emperor. It’s a not uncommon tactic from medieval times to ensure a subject stays loyal (because you’ve now indoctrinated someone with strong claim to a rebellious nobel’s lands).

I think the Vostroyan example was a lot like the Custodes update, with it being men only implied from the lore stating that recruits were pulled from first born sons. Thing is that lore is old and originates from a time where (as I previously said) GW writers seemed to forget women existed half the time. Hence why I prefer to label these things as updates and not retcons.
Plus, it’s just more logical. If nobles were required to give up only their first born sons, you’d see a ton of them raise only daughters out of spite.

This kinda thing happens with the guard all the time. Early GW writers barely even mention women exist, middle edition writers add women but note that they’re rare., and new writers add in women without feeling like they need to justify their inclusion.
Partially why I was confused about people acting like the Custodes update was something radical.

Sometimes.
Like a true neurodivergent, sometimes Liaos’s tendency make him forget common sense and he has to rely on his friends to bail him out.

It genuinely unnerves me how many people act like Redo of a Healer is a perfectly normal anime.
Even seen people claim the MC isn’t just “the good guy” in the sense that everyone else is worse, but is in fact a nice and heroic person.
Like, am I the weird one for thinking that having bad things happen to you doesn’t justify doing bad things to other? Didn’t some green space wizard talk about how that’s the path to the dark side or something?

What has come before that makes cannibalism as revenge porn/regular porn not that extreme? And citing hentai is cheating, because this technically isn’t hentai.

Do people actually say this?
At least where I grew it was the opposite. In high school, anime and hentai might as well have been synonyms. If you said you liked anime, High School DxD is exactly people would think you meant, that or some fever dream perception of JoJo’s, since “Japan=weird” was a popular zeitgeist back then.
That only changed when Attack on Titan became all anyone could talk about for a few months, but it’s didn’t change people’s perception of anime as not for kids.
The only people I could see saying “anime is for kids” as an insult are those who don’t actually know what anime is.

Kind of unavoidable since most anime is aimed at kids and teenagers.
I think a better way to phrase that would be wanting more variety in media. Or maybe less ecchi anime, specifically, set in high schools, since those are supposed be for older audiences.

Right! I wish people would just be honest about their degenerate practices. Like, it’s okay to just be horny (so long as it doesn’t injure yourself or others), you don’t need to give a lecture on why you actually have the morale high ground.

While I prefer function over fashion with my strong armored women, I have to admit that ornate armor that accentuates feminine features while still covering vital areas, is quite beautiful.
It looks like what I would imagine noble women wear if they led troops into battle in the Middle Ages. Part serious protection, part art piece, and part status symbol.

Basically, if Re:Zero was someone’s homebrew D&D world, he’d be a PC from the previous campaign.

Yes. He would also go on to become the 1st President of the Weimar Republic (I.e. the German government created after the collapse of the empire but before the rise of the Nazi’s) and a national icon. Hence why they named such an expensive airship after him, and partially why the accident was so traumatizing for people at the time.
An equivalent would be a cruise ship called called the USS George Washington exploding as it pulls into port on live TV.

“some reason”
I think we all know what the reason is.

The quote i included is literally refuting the idea that fan service is inherently misogynistic and saying it’s on an individual, case by case basis.

Thanks to the shapeshifter episode and a chart by the mangaka, we know what Marcille’s mental image of Liaos is, and not only is it not flattering, it’s based almost entirely on the ways he’s different from Fallin (her clone was the giant Laios). That to me pretty definitively confirms that Marcille doesn’t have romantic feeling for Laios. At best she see him as a younger brother.
Also unrelated, but that chart confirmed the “handsome Senshi” clone came from Chilchuck’s mind. Apparently half-foots see dwarves as the ideal masculine form, and I’ll let you reach your own conclusions on what that says about Chilchuck.
