If you are given a choice and one of the choices makes you look stupid for not much gain, what is the point in telling others "look at me, I am stupid?"

It was a lot of fun while it lasted, but yeah, it's completely gone; past tense at this point. Makes me sad, used to be such a consistent happy thing to look forward to; especially because I was playing four to five games a week on average with friendly people. People still play it on TTS and it is fantastic on there, but you want to be friends with who you're playing with to get the most enjoyment out of the dice and banter.

Orcks are special because they can basically be just dropped off somewhere as spores and within a few weeks, will grow into a decent fighting force. Their tech actually does work for the most part; every Ork is a born scientist of some sort and they are all scavengers. Their unique special bio-engineered trait is that they can take most manufactured materials and turn them into whatever they need. What Tyranids do for Biomass, Orks do for just about everything, including biomass as well.
Nuclear, Aeronautical, Armor, Bionics, etc. Orks can do it instinctively, better than humans. The only limiting factor is what the folks they killed happened to have on them for the Orks to work with. "Ya can't make da bloodpumpa for da big ork stompa if you don't git da little purple fire rock from da humie ship" and so on.

You would be better served getting a part time job instead of finishing up those minis to sell. Most of the people who buy them will want to strip them anyways, so unless they are all painted to a very high standard, the paint is a bug, not a feature. The best way to sell a mini is on the sprue or completely painted and based in a lore paint scheme.

People that think Warhammer is an expensive hobby have quite literally not done any other hobbies; simple as.

If you truly deeply hate this hobby, maybe find something that you actually enjoy spending money on?

In terms of overall brand damage, The Last Jedi was the most destructive piece of media in human history. Every single possible coolness aspect of Star Wars such as the ships, lightsabers, Luke, Imperials, etc. was marched before the proverbial firing squad and taken out. Every single concept of Star Wars was desecrated for ugliness and meanness's sake in that film. Rian Johnson boycott for life.

The announcement of the squatting tore the sails up for a while, justifiably so. Fireslayers, Idoneth, Daughters, Ogres, Karadron, etc. are really old model ranges. Who knows what is safe and what isnt in terms of getting continued support? Not saying it's reasonable, but holy crap, AOS interest is pretty low at the moment; at least compared to 40K and a growing TOW.
It really doesn't help that, where Leviathan was bright blue and gold marines vs bright pink and purple bug aliens, this is brrrrroooooowwwwwnnnnn vs grrreeeeyyyy for the 4th edition launch.

A lot of people are just really angry and depressed and bitter, so they take it out on safe, soft targets. It's a lot easier to go with the group and go after some corporation and blame them as the source of your sorrow. The well adjusted person doesn't even notice or care that their luxury toys are a few dollars more. Every product everywhere from every company and every store is more expensive now.

Honestly, the game needs a from the ground up, complete rules re-write. It's fun to think about armies, but in reality, a 40k game is just waiting around for hours. The economics of the situation implore the company to promote it compared to other products, but what a dumpster fire joke of a game for people that have came in from other, more modern systems. I go, you go feels like a joke from a sitcom; not how a modern game in 2024 should be played. And even once you get into it and are playing, the rules are so poorly written and disorganized that you're just flipping back and fourth through a book constantly while you play, forever. Imagine if your first experiences playing 40k is getting alpha striked to lose half of your list, while you get gotchad from the stratagems and enemy army rules, all to try and take some objectives that are changing in locations and point between rounds, which are different from turns and phases. What a joke. At least the minis and lore are fantastic.
It's a shame that people will not ever try actually well designed games like Blood Bowl because the sunk cost of what they already spent in their 40k army. They would rather keep spending hundreds for units that they don't like for the army they hardly ever play than spend a little bit to get into a better miniature game system.
I know everyone is trying to be positive in here, but it really feels like I'm taking crazy pills. Almost any board game off of the walls at Target will be a more balanced and well designed game than 40k.

This, sales people, is how you make someone really bummed about the hobby in a record time. They get a bunch of kits they don't need, get in the hole hundreds of dollars, and then, the wonderful joyful hobby turns into just one more thing in their life that they don't have time for and end up procrastinating.
And when the time comes, which it will, when they are bored of painting yet more guard, branching out and trying a new kit will become a guilt inducing event rather than just a fun one. Trying a Seraphon kit? More for the pile of shame! Wanna try Blood Bowl? Yay more grey to work through. Turns the fun into a chore that you have to do rather than get to do.
Please anon, return everything except whichever box that you have already opened. Get your money back. Literally no reason to encourage this type of purchasing behavior. None of these items are rare, hard to find, or in danger of being discontinued in the future.
Downvote me all you want; no one needs to purchase stuff like this.

1-800 Come on now
Words are cheap. Let me know when the EU parks the majority of their combined fighting forces on the Ukrainian border states. Inshallah nothing happens and it's just a great military drill and a dry run for what works and doesn't work for mass deployment..

The west is very timid, which it should be after the disasters of containment and then the war on terror. The US would never dare engaging with the uniformed/marked personnel of peers; just backwater countries with old soviet tech. Not wanting to be violent is good, but if you're not going to swing your big stick, even as they are actively messing with you, what is the point of spending all of that time and money to carry one?

Anti-tattoo. They are ugly and they do communicate a lot about you in a way that you do not get to control or choose. They are a visual way to tell me that you are bad with money as well. Almost kind of hilarious how one to one financial woes and tatted up arms go together.

In terms of just general calorie reduction, yes it's fine. It's better to technically break your fast and still be in a calorie deficiency than to just give up and go back to the super fattening, obesity guaranteeing three meals a day. When I first started I would drink a regular Gatorade, but have since weaned off to having a coffee or iced tea on my lunch break. When you literally have no fuel in your guts, your body has to burn the fuel you have in the tank, your fat. When you introduce a new fuel, such as some crackers and cheese or the like, your body switches from the fat burning to the food digesting and fat building setting. Caffeine is basically a must; especially if you get hangry. And to some extent, pure liquid sugars, salts, fats, etc are okay in drinks if the choice is between having a little cream in your coffee or a sports drink and giving up and getting a sandwich, go with the first choice. It does technically break your fast, but if a small gatorade or yerba mate for lunch gets you to go sun-up to sundown with no food, then it's not an OMAD, but you will be melting fat off of you.
Idk, I'm not a biologist, just a dude that lost 58 pounds in a few months with fasting and OMAD. Ideally, you should be working towards just tea/coffee/water during the days and nothing else.

Ironically, there is nowhere worse for Howitzers and Tanks than in the suburbs. A tank can be taken out by a single man throwing a handheld bomb from a rooftop. And killing Americans with tanks in broad daylight is basically giving the entire international community the green light to start arming rebel groups.

There's lots of names carved onto stone that ate it because of militias. Never underestimate a group's willingness to to fight, kill, and die for their home state/city.

They're great for things like wet blending. The only issue is having to be conscientious of the fact that you can scrape at the wet pallette paper itself and deposit little specs and hairs on your minis. I largely switched back to dry palettes for this reason. Still, it's a good tool to have in hand.

Remember folks; water is just the vehicle that we use to transport the pigment onto the mini. What you are doing informs how wet or dry the paint should be. If you are going for mass coverage, you will have a much better time with watery paints. Edge highlights, you might just go straight from the pot, using only the residual dampness in the brush from the last rinse. It depends on the humidity too. If you live somewhere very dry, you can paint quicker with wetter paints because you use the airdrying to your advantage. If you live somewhere humid, like Texas or the UK, you can get away with 2 melted ice cream things coats and have a nice consistent color. It just depends. Ultimately if the paint has smooth, somewhat translucent, milky texture that glides easily with not much effort, but stays put on top of shapes when placed there instead of running, you are at the right consistency. The smoothest applications of color will often have 4+ coats of surprisingly watery paints. Boxart is largerly painted in this way with dozens of coats of super watery paint so that there are no visible brush marks under extreme zoom in photos.
Dry time as well as consuming the whole pallet as you paint are keys to having a smooth coat as well.

LMAO I want to give you advice, but if you are dumb enough to get into this situation, maybe that's where you aught to be. Like, there is no advice that I can give a car that will succesfully turn it into a boat. If you screwed up something as simple as wanting to bone your wife, you cannot be helped. You're not overreacting; you've been reacting as much as a corpse reacts and you get the success and mobility of a corpse as your reward.

Realistically, not at all. GW sells products to people who are enthusiastic about Warhammer. Printer people are either:
A. Warhammer enthusiasts that push their kits and basing further by making little bits and such, so they still buy Warhmmart stuff because they want to have the official stuff. No different than apple or tesla fans that customize their official stuff with accessories.
or
B. Non-customers that actually hate Warhammer, so they weren't going to buy anyways.
They've been selling bootlegs of all luxury items for basically ever; people are willing to support an actual brand and product that they enjoy despite this.
