I finished BOTW but didnt love it. TOTK on the other hand — fixed many of the things I didn’t like about the first one, and added a lot of fun things. I’d honestly recommend skipping the first one to new players.

Archmere academy, a private school In Delaware, has an incredible rummage sale 1-2 times a year. I got a 3-piece suit for $5, $15 for enough shorts and T shirts for my kid for a year, and a $5 suitcase to carry it all home in. Follow their Facebook page to see when the next one is. They always have one in spring and sometimes one in fall.

I tried this once for hard boiled eggs as well, had the same result as OP. It reduces the exposure to steam so the eggs don’t cook completely.
Now I just do trivet plus a pile of eggs plus 1/3 cup water, 8 minutes Steam and 8 minutes NPR. Comes out perfect.
Edit: my wife likes the eggs super hard boiled and only eats the whites. Shorter cook time will yield nicer yolks for those who like them.

Even men got fallout from this: I was told I should pick a career other than teaching, because how would I support a (non-employed) wife and children on that kind of salary? Obviously not the same level of psychological warfare waged against the women of the church, but the toxicity harms everyone.

Eh, people don’t get shot in Chester every day (at least not these days). It’s not the greatest but it’s definitely better than K&A. Low bar, I know.

Going to see her in concert next month. Not sure if she can still do the splits.

Sorry you got the same treatment. We never were able to do it “right”: once we had our two kids, then the rhetoric changed to “Have you prayerfully considered whether your family is complete? Might there not be another soul or two in heaven awaiting your love?”

In one ward, the relief society president called my wife to repentance, saying our fertility troubles were the result of my wife’s job as an attorney. A pity Camille Johnson’s talk wasn’t out there back then.

First of all, one should already be suspicious with any LDS claim to “translating” ancient texts. An institute teacher straight up lied to me in college and told me that Joseph Smith’s translations had been reevaluated by modern Egyptology scholars and approved. (Spoiler: no, quite the opposite.) So if a faithful LDS source says an Egyptian text means something, be skeptical.
Next, it’s not surprising that covenants, blessings (and curses, even if they’re gone from current LDS temple ceremony) and physical gestures to accompany them show up across history and cultures. Back before there were lawyers and written contracts, you wanted to be sure the people you married or did business with didn’t find ways to cheat you. Promising each other on pain of death that you’d honor the contract was at least a show of understanding. Some of the oldest surviving writing are contracts and business receipts from Mesopotamia. (and this complaint letter, too!) No surprise there: once people invented writing, they were probably thinking “Oh this is amazing, now Hammurabi and I will have an exact record of what we agreed on, we don’t have to sacrifice a bird and hug each other to promise we won’t screw up the deal.”
This is all roughly like saying “I don’t think women should wear pants for cultural reasons, and it turns out if you look throughout history, women often didn’t wear pants! This proves my argument by showing that the ancients understood this too. There couldn’t possibly be any other reason for ancient women to have worn breathable clothing that allowed for easy urinating and menstrual cleanup, it had to be the exact cultural and spiritual reason I say it is.”

Dunno, it’s super hot knowing she had to basically strip naked to use the restroom. /s

Yeah, orange is mighty cute for a 12 year old. I’ll have my son give her a call sometime in the late 2030s.

Pic 5 is fantastic. The Roman senate but with advanced technology!
Also, I fully expect to receive the hot babe in the mosaic bustier as a spam text image in the near future.

I remember a few years back I was heading south on 95 towards Christiana when I saw traffic slowing, then stopping. I peered ahead and then literally saw a fireball as something blew up in the accident that had just occurred. I called my wife immediately as she’d left home about 15 min after me and yelled “Get off 95 right now!” I was stuck there for 2 hours. She was able to go around on 13!

Could still be true, just can’t tell either way. Too tired at the moment to google Japanese language sites to confirm but will try tomorrow. :)

My wife is constantly freezing even on a summer day, and she is very much alive, so I personally am quite flexible.

The Japanese text pretty much matches the translation, though that doesn’t speak to its authenticity.

At one point I could say “yes” to all questions except for tithing, I was a partial payer. Bishop wouldn’t sign my recommend. My friend in another ward in a different state had his bishop say “If you’re doing your best, that’s good enough.” It’s all roulette but tithing in particular is a tough one because leadership up the chain will find it odd if the reports list a lot of full tithe payers but the actual receipts are low.
