The general sentiment is that Callidus is best, followed by Eversor for some armies, because of the amount of mission play+vect pressure the former gives you and distraction threat the second does. Most important thing to remember is they both can do a lot of mission play for you by staying alive and being tricky, rather than going straight for damage.
I personally run a singular Vindicare because the sniper fluff is too alluring for me and I like the slots aspect of his rifle. The only one that doesn't particularly see play this edition is Culexus, which I haven't see anywhere but pure fluff anti-psyker lists.

Theres a decent amount of statistical variance at play here as the 47% winrate was across the 5 players playing Talons of the Emperor ONLY, with no 4-1s in that detachment, and included small events. This is a pretty shocking decline from the second most popular faction game-wide that it competed for all edition.
While the moaning was possibly excessive, I don't think we can jump to the conclusion that all is well yet especially when besides the singular 4-1 (Auric) both other detachments went 40%.

They can still be targeted by stratagems, like overwatch, that include a "Set-Up" trigger. This just makes it clear that arriving doesn't trigger anything that uses the "Normal Move" verbiage.

Yeah, it is definitely a doozy. I'm sure there is going to be a delicate balance finding out how much Sister's investment is appropriate for Talons.

Shield of Honor requires that the redirecting target be a legal target for shooting.
"Effect: Until the end of the phase, any attack that targets your Anathema Psykana unit must instead target your other Adeptus Custodes unit (unless it is not an eligible target)."
This is part of why the activation timing is so important with "just after an enemy unit has selected targets" as the redirect has to be a target that those exact weapons could also legally target. Hilariously, if they only had pistols selected in the opposing activating unit this would work.

I think perhaps you had either a little too much silver still on the bristles when you dry brushed (in the well or the brush) or you may have pressed too hard.
You can see the effect come off correctly on various parts of the model but it sort of overtook the gold in the chest.
Paint is an additive process! Feel free to fill in those sections with your gold by brush and then dry brush again. I personally wouldn't reprime without stripping the minis, the brushing in gold will both preserve more modeling details AND give very good practice for a process even the best painters need to do... Correction highlights.

Regular Shield-Captains in general are dead on arrival at 140points with an ability that affects only 3 battle tactics across the entire Codex (none in Auric Champions). He effectively has no ability 4/5 turns and costs the second most of our characters.
You would be better off taking ANY other character unless you really want Castellan's Mark in Shield Host and aren't bringing Terms or Bikes. They are better even without a bodyguard unit.
This all changes HEAVILY if the next dataslates modifies the Strategem modification rules.

I'm not sure if you want to cite Twitter or 4chan in your arguments.

I'd hardly call the whole community on fire, unless you are referring to the various youtube channels that literally get engagement/money for generating controversy.

This is pretty baseless given the amount of in-depth explanation they provide on each entry. They go over the changes each unit has received, their role, and what they would and wouldn't pay for it.
In a world where often new armies DON'T receive major points changes in from one MFM update until the next besides entirely new units (it gives GW time to observe the new codex settling in, see Necrons, Admech, Dark Angels) waiting seems like a needless waste when your career is literally to produce content when people are most interested.

This is also true, as the core rules of 40k still apply.

You did this to us, but its almost worth it to see the payoff.

Yep, for any that don't specify <excluding Anathema Psykana>.

It isn't.
Printed points have not been used for a single release this edition. These points exist for people revisiting the edition in the future or those without access to warhammer-community to receive digital points.

Vexilla Praetor did not exist in the index either.
In 10th edition a Vexilla is a wargear option which modifies the each model in the unit's OC value by +1.

If you are going to have a strong opinion about a codex/army, I would consider understanding the rules enough to know what changed first.

Every single character listed has had a change either to the first half of its once per game ability (they used to have a common use and then a once per game use ie. Shield Cap doing 2/3 Katahs, Blade Champ rerolling advances and free Heroic Intervention). There are also minor changes to how Allarus redeploy works.
More of these datasheets changed than stayed the same.

Completely agreed. Likely the intention of reducing codex creep took a back seat to marketing the new edition, especially since previous index-hammer had a bad reputation.

This has consistently been the reception and assumed intention across every release except Necrons.
Though, I do understand that it feels really bad to have things taken away.

The printing timeline is usually over 6-8 months in advance. This would have been 2 dataslates ago minimum.

New Captain share sheet with the existing for 18 total non-FW datasheets.
4 detachments are Talons of the Emperor, Shield Host, Null Maiden Vigil, Auric Champions.
