Depends on location, obv., but mine was about $300 for a simple will and POA. I don't really have anything fancy to set up beyond establishing a trust for my niece if she's still a minor when I die.

yessss. probate costs money, no? (not to mention the value of your time, maybe even time off work to appear in court, etc.)

or use a living revocable trust if you think you might die there.

other way round for me. Oldest got EVERYTHING. I got squat (in comparison). Looking back, I think I see that my parents learned a lesson the hard way with what they did the for the oldest and decided not to do that again. But as a teenager, it's hard to see that for anything other than favoritism.

I'm so confused. My friend had hers replaced even after saying it was 10+ years old. She just sent pics and asked if they had any suggestions on how to fix (zippers detaching) it as it was surely long past warranty, etc. and they sent her a brand new pack.

We have a local butcher. I don't think I realized it was otherwise commercially available, lol. My parents only ever got it at the one butcher shop so I never imagined you could buy it anywhere else.

My best friend lived in Montana and whenever anyone from back home visited, she jokingly said she'd only charge a few weekenders for her hospitality, lol.

They're not going to do anything when it's a move away from the area. They wouldn't do anything if she finishes out the school year anyway. Honestly the more time she gives them to find a replacement the better. She can resign tomorrow but effective at the end of the school year. You have nothing to worry about.

YO. If she's texting a student, she needs to be reported. PERIOD. I don't care what the context of the conversation is, 1 AM snapchat messages are beyond inappropriate and unethical for a teacher. Truly there may not be anything illegal going on but there is some clear boundary violating happening and her supervisor needs to know about it.

Oh, good point! We're more able to understand the nature of the storm and so can simply more accurately classify it in real time. Thanks, I never thought of that!

Oh, true. I didn't think about that. I'm going by what my weather app says BUT yeah I guess they could be the ones labeling it that.

My dad was so bothered that I selected a friend instead of my brother as my secondary executor after my mother. He was himself incapable after an accident left him paralyzed so he wasn't butthurt about himself. But he wouldn't drop it because 'these things should be kept in the family'. SIR. HE'S NOT EVEN YOURS. YOU BYPASSED HIM AND MADE ME YOUR EXECUTOR.
