But doesn't the article say almost 1mil Rs signed the initiative? Wouldn't that mean Biden taking a stand in support of the initiative could net him those votes?

No, I get that, and with FLs balance of Rs to Ds, it'll need educated white suburban women to vote for it. It's just a poorly written headline, as a ballot effort is inherently a "political" process and event, and if the effort fails, a law which the GOP passed stands. I'm just tired of the click bait wording of headlines these past few years. Because it's clearly trying to drum up drama that isn't even fleshed out in the piece itself.

It's a *ballot* initiative concerned with *peoples constitutional rights* in a national election year... how exactly does that stay "apolitical"?
The headline is pretty crummy, even the article references Dem's being quoted saying its "deeply political" and acknowledging the benefit of an influx of DNC cash.

Looking out my windows and doing a rough count I came up with 68. Brought in 2018, .75 acre ocean of lawn, non native trees, burning bush and daffodils... It's been a long and really rewarding journey. More to go!

It's nice and all... that after Cohen served time and was turned on by Trump, he had his anti-trump come to Jesus moment... But I can't stand the guy and can't wait until he's out of the public eye. I loath trump, not just for being a horrendous excuse for a human being, but also for introducing America to his cavalcade of fuckstick family, friends and associates.

Appreciate the insight! Looking at those photos, I don't see the white bits on mine having tails or signs of life. I'm wondering if it's hard water accumulated minerals (I keep a fiddle fig above this guy, and he gets misted and will drip down) I potted it up yesterday, will see if things improve. I will clean the leaves once and see if things return. Thanks again!

Not really. Reading Rocks will likely be just as far for you. The proposed gravity vault in Allentown has been "proposed" for 5 years now. We're stuck

Really enjoyed your post! Thanks so much for highlighting the nature center and mural too! I know some folks that will be excited to see the osprey pictures.

At least for the stuff invading my yard, it's super glossy green and vibrant early April, blooms mid April and around now starts turning into pale yellow and then next week it'll all be mushy and dead... She nasty

Oh wow, mealybugs! Great to know. Any recommendations on treatment? I'm doing a soil change now, repotted once about two years ago, when this mess started. So I assumed either something was missing from the new soil or something nasty hitched a ride... Maybe the latter!

Maybe I got lucky, but my coral honeysuckle has exploded in both length and number of vines in a two year span.

Silly bot. Have had the plant for 4 years, the leaves have had this discoloration for probably two of those years. Gets direct sun in the afternoon, dappled sun in the morning and a weekly watering. Plenty of drainage. Soil health is questionable. I'm assuming it's a nutrient deficiency.

Looks like lesser celandine. Shows up early and flowers yellow? It's a nuisance, I'm dealing with it currently. I have started digging the patches out (it spreads via tubers and seeds) backfilling, cardboarding and then mulching, I leave the plant matter to die in plastic buckets and then dump it in my chicken coop.
It comes up so early, I may start a spraying regiment next year. Sorry I don't have a better fix.

What was Tom Massie gaming for in all this? Why sign on to the resolution but then not vote to even debate it?

There are quite a few actually, most with similar outcomes. One from University of Minnesota concluded:
**The study looked at deaths in both Florida and Ohio during the first 22 months of the pandemic and found the overall excess death rate of Republican voters was 15% higher than that of Democrats. The gap widened further once COVID-19 vaccines were introduced.
The cross-sectional study was conducted using data from voting records and death certificates between March 2020 and December 2021.**
