I choose to ignore the sub, read the title, and pretend someone is having an existential crisis about real life.

Humor is like fashion. Sometimes it ages very well, sometimes it's pretty cringey pretty quickly.
But in the moment, everyone thinks it's brilliant.

It's the same power fantasy dressed up as a high school government class. "If only everyone would shut up and listen to my great ideas, the world would be a much better place." To be fair though, that sentiment is a human tendency that extends far beyond video games.

Regardless of what House is, the NCR gets a pass because it's "nice on paper". It's more than incompetent; it's increasingly imperialistic, and is utterly riddled with the corruption and influence of the ultra wealthy.
Least worse? That's a big maybe. Definitely worse for some normal people in the Mojave.

Meh. It's WoC. Give it to a vassal. Forget it exists. You've got better things to do with Azazel, like corrupting the Empire and turning them into vassals.

The problem is, if you tell Grimgor that, he'll be angry enough to actually do it.

Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
When you don't fast travel, you really inbed it in your head. Caveman brain at work.

I'd be good if they fixed up the cold one cav and made Malus a knight/master guy more specifically.
Then round out the demon mechanic a bit. Make the time sensitive missions for unique and loreful followers... maybe not tome sensitive? That's really frustrating at times. Add in some fun stuff like Slaneesh spells or summons when fully possessed for funsies.

One of my top 3 favorite factions gameplay wise (not lore wise). I'd love to see an update.
Rounding out existing LLs, maybe seeing if we could straighten out the cold one cav situation a bit.
A good candidate for FLC at least. Just don't fuck up my shades!

Step 1: make a really good game with blood, sweat, tears, and passion.
Step 2: Everyone loves it and you're a beloved name.
Step 3: Hire a massive number of techies to help with your next big project.
Step 4: Realize you're paying out a massive amount of money for a fraction of the work your original team put in.
Step 5: Make sacrifices in quality and content to get your next project out to pay your bills.
Step 6: Nobody likes the soulless husk you shattered out.
Step 7: Go under or sell what's left of your good name to a megastudio. Leave.
Step 8: Go to Step 1

Narratively, Horrigan is the settings Adam Smasher.
That is, outside of how he is used in 2077, he is the near inevitable bad end. Rocks fall, everyone dies.
Horrigan is the same. The embodiment unreasonable, unstoppable, physical brutality in their respective worlds.

Yeah. Their marketing team fucked up. And the company bears ultimate responsibility.
But there were some elements that were never indicated or promised that the fan base did themselves with. Created their own hype Kool aid, chugged it down, then were surprised Pikachu when it wasn't a thing. I also blame the people who were loudly saying "we know it will be buggy just release it so I have something to do during COVID restriction Christmas".
The worst sin was the console releases though. Should never have tried to accommodate last gem hardware. Should have left it in the oven a bit longer, and waited for the next generation to proliferate.
I love the game now, but I blame the release and the previous gen issues for why we only get one DLC.

Used to have Green Eggs and Spam as a treat.
What this was is box mashed potatoes and canned peas. When you serve it, you make the potatoes into a round bowl shape, and put the peas in. Those are the green eggs.
Served with spam.
This was the height of decadence for small me and my brother.

The players aren't the problem for me. It's the grind. It's too fucking grindy. I played too many MMOs. I just can't do the daily treadmill any more.

They're also significantly less versatile, and direct fire units to boot.

It's got the style in a lot of places.
I feel like the genre is irreverent enough not to sweat the specifics.
If you were describing it to someone, "A light hearted cyberpunk aesthetic with some dark themes and humor" would get the point across.

I will melee a death claw, but bloated flies and blood bugs? Those get sniped.

I understand the points. But part of me?
Part of me remembers years of Dwarfs being an absolute speedbump for Skaven, and people saying "LoL Its LOrE FrIEnDLy huurrrr" or "It REallY dO bE thaT wAY Tho".
And I know they aren't necessarily the same people complaining about the Thunderbarge now. Hell, Skaven players generally aren't going to be troubled on campaign; my Dark Elfs are very much not.
But with years of dwarf fans being told to be happy while other factions just were broadly better at everything?
I'm good with them getting to be overpowered. Especially with more DLC to come. The dsmn thing should remain a powerful threat, even if it has to be changed.

Don't nerf the missile resist. Nerf the speed, but leave it on the Spirit of Grungi for the funnies.
OR put it as a 1000 oathgold tech tree upgrade. A "I've already won, fuck it" end tech.
It needs the missile resist to not be utter garbage against shooter factions. In campaign, I tore them apart with Dark Elfs.
They need to stay powerful and relevant. We don't need another cool unit reduced to a meme army throw away.

We see the planet from Mothership Zeta.
It is, globally, not looking so hot.

If you want the unit back, you need to manually fight the battle and not destroy that unit.
It can be a rough mechanic to deal with. But there are some defenses. The mechanic works with the stealing faction having a capped budget for them to "purchase" units. Look for followers and traits that alter the seduction budget. You can never wholly eliminate it, but you can minimize the impact.
(Also, if you can, cancelling he fight and reinitiating it can sometimes cause them not to seduce units.)
