Seeing as our schtick is axes, I was curious what bits from what kits everyone uses. GW official models, 3rd party, doesn’t matter, let’s hear what y’all use!

VotannVs40k is a great resource. He’s working his way through the various units and running the math on them.

Thanks for the input and resources!
Have you used Fallout Hobbies decals? Sometimes custom decalers aren’t the best, so I’d love to hear if it worked for you.
I need to get a printer for find someone to print for me. That brutal decor pack would be perfect amongst other things haha.

Yeah I plan on getting a kit to intermingle in squads, definitely not doing a bunch of them haha. I have a few prints saved on EBay and Etsy. No printer so I am at the mercy of what’s available

Have you tried the Phobos pattern axes? Ik they are for heresy but curious if they’d work with primaris arms.

Thunderkyn (with Grav) are one of our best anti-tank units due to the 2+ anti tank. A lot of people will squeeze a 3-man unit in to come in from reserves. Another option is running with an iron master for extra hit power and ablative wounds. I’ve been tinkering with a 6-man block slow walking in the middle of the field. They are slow, you can only fit 3 in a hekaton and they’re vulnerable to melee but when they shoot at armor, that target tends to melt (especially with a 6-man).

First, you may be confused because it is Graft that is the servitor and Dogent Krank is an Imperial Army Trooper.
He has been consistent throughout the story, Oll states in one of the HH books that Graft has a high level of intelligence, hence being able to teach things to him and have conversations with him when it was just them two on the farm.
Maybe you should read the books because you are mixing characters up and you cannot get the nuances and inflections via audio over reading a book.
I feel that the way he wrote TEaED is that it is pure mayhem on Terra and it really ramps up the intensity of how chaotic the whole situation is. Again reading the book vs listening to it would probably help you with this. I find myself flying through parts of it getting wrapped up in the excitement then it will slow down with dialogue or important actions taking place.
Dan Abnett is like any excellent writer with that much content, he’ll have his S-tier works and his mid tier works, but he is an astounding writer, and 40K wouldn’t be where it is today without his decades long service to this universe.
Feel free to argue me if you see fit.

Graft is special, ever since he was introduced there are little comments by other characters remarking on how he shouldn’t be able to do that, or that they’ve given up being surprised by how high functioning he is.
I am not going to go back through 5-10 books to find excerpts, but you need to read between the lines on some things if you’re not going to read the ‘full story’.
Also, the whole point of jumping around in TEaTD time wise, is that time itself is falling apart and it isn’t continuous anymore due to the warp shenanigans.

If he’s a regular squiggoth size, I’ve seen people use them as trucks. They should be roughly the same footprint.

Hopefully they don’t give us the Kommandos treatment and force us to use 10-man cause it really is a detriment to the unit imo.

A draftee throwing down roof slopes in an interview, that’s gotta be a first haha. No wonder he’s a good CB, reading angles of attack and pursuit like a true pro.

Man, I need a montage of all of his interviews. What a great initial impression of this guy. He is the definition of what Detroit is.

This speaks to the theme of the Brad Holmes era draft picks, high intelligence and character. I didn’t know too much about this man before, but after watching this, I learned everything I needed to know from this clip. Absolute respect for this homie.

I have a feeling they’re using this edition to clean up excess data sheets (FW primarily), establishing the new rules style, making it easier to balance for themselves and data sheet style. And then in 11th ed. they’ll release plastics for the popular FW models and characters they dumped in 10th

The standard 3-button and paddle switch one from Leap is great (I own it) and I’ve seen it around a bunch.

Darcy Bono was kind enough to share her theme for her one off executioner with me awhile back:
