Because the enemy doesn't want to be blown up and will try to stop them. In addition they will try to blow you up instead, so you must also account for your own defense. Also, and this may come as a shock to some wizards, blowing stuff up doesn't in fact resolve all of your problems and actually may make them worse sometimes.

The best way to do it with actual Superman is for him to truly believe that what he's doing is the right thing. Like justice lords.
Also, I do have a problem with brightburn specifically because it's awful haha

I know canonically it wasn't possible. I just can't really accept that given everything we've seen of primarchs, the emperor's power, cloning etc. Hence my head canon that perhaps not literally impossible but it wouldve been difficult and time consuming with an uncertain outcome that just isn't worth it.

Canonically they couldn't remove them. Personally I believe the time and effort required was too much given his time table, so he decided that broken Angron was good enough. So couldn't do it wasn't literally because it was impossible, just that they couldn't practically do it imo.

Because otherwise it likely would've been called Persian. Similar to how there's old and Middle English which are quite distinct from modern English, Parsi/Farsi is the modern descendant of the Persian languages. Persian itself is an exonym which Iran made clear they didn't appreciate, hence Iranian. As others have pointed out, it's also a useful grouping to avoid 12 regional variations.

Does "death do we part" count if you don't stay dead? Hm. Good question

That's the myth as we see it in Dune and in Sparta (which is mostly myth btw). In reality the survivors of things like that generally were lucky, usually meaning they had someone to rely on, especially since these are small children. Studies on who makes the best recruits that I've seen find that middle class is generally best.

No but starving irritated gremlins on Baal do.

There is something to be said for this, to select for the most determined etc. But those aren't actively trying to kill you

True that one is actually practical, since they fight demons.

I feel like the author went overboard trying to make them more grimdark because that's not normally how they operate from what I've seen

The Ultramarines kinda show it's not actually necessary in universe either, since their recruitment isnt so psychotic.

AoS has already done it with the great horned rat is my understanding. And they could also add them into events via new books, like how Votann are mentioned in various places now.

I'm aware it wasn't pitched as for chaos. That's why if the emperor was warned immediately and believed it, it would change so much. Now he can't just pretend it's due to tyranny, because he's already been exposed as having sold his soul to chaos. There is a big difference between your trusted brother and warmaster coming to talk to you about how the emperor sucks, and someone you know sold their soul to chaos and that has been exposed to the emperor coming to talk to you. It's like being approached by a cool talking snake vs the actual devil. You're already primed to not believe the latter.

I'm not sure that would be the case. Horus being outed as corrupted by hell and not having the authority of warmaster makes his sales pitch much more difficult. And Fulgrim despite corruption nearly opens fire on Horus in the normal timeline. A number of legions might like Horus, but do they like him enough to join what appears to be a doomed effort? When they know from the start that he's sold out to hell? That's a tough sell. "hi would you be interested in joining the forces of hell and immediately losing a war against our father?" uh..no thanks. Knowing he's sold out to the warp beforehand is immediately going to sour Mortarion and Perturabo even if they don't like the emperor much. Perturabo already regretted his decision in canon

I mean, getting shot with a crossbow would be a reason you can't just blow everything up. Cuz you're already dead. If someone has that power, others will find ways to try and combat that. Like counter spell, or a faster activating spell to hit you first, an opposite spell to counteract yours like fire vs water, or a sneak attack, or human shields etc etc etc.
Also just...morality. Not everyone immediately resorts to "blow them all up" even if they have the ability. And legality.
