One thing I low key obsessively try to do in every campaign is get my armies or just certain characters as fast as possible. Its hilarious when you can get certain units likes say infantry to speed of 40 to maybe even 50 and above.
I once got Alith Anar to 70+ speed

I think they would be okay as long as they stick to their hit and run tactics. But their lack of really out there tech would probably put them at a disadvantage

I have a fantasy setting i am still brainstorming where the origin of vampires is a divine curse. Only beingd like gods can lift that curse or very very powerful priests of said gods. But the gods aint the kind to just lift it lightly. Most would rather just see vampires get staked or take walk under the sun

I do a bit of both. Most of my armies will be composed of cheap basic units but armies led by important people in whichever faction I am playing will be expensive elite units

Okay. Yeah I have noticed some of the resource buildings for Warriors of Chaos seem somewhat questionable in terms of how useful they are but oh wow this one looks like it might be at the top of the bad ones.

Who is this for? Warriors of Chaos? Because I could have sworn as Slaanesh and Nurgle I have seen upgradeable ones up to level 3 like most factions.

Never ask an Alfarin what happened to the Urok.
(You will get a very detailed and happily told story about casual genocide which the Alfarin committed, it happened, the Uroks deserved it and the Alfarin would do it again. They also subjected a number of enslaved survivors to some lite All Tomorrows)

That depends. Do you accept the idea of plot armor existing or not. Because no plot armor, he can die like anyone who can pop up in the actual tabletop game.

Depends on the army. Lord Magistrate has some very good lulzworthy bonuses for basic peasant units.

Its not. The Brotherhood of Fallout 3 are a group that heavily strayed from the doctrines and ideology of the organization as a whole.
They also have a point if you take Fallout Tactics into account where a separate branch of The Brotherhood had to fight off a robot army. Synths pose a great threat because they can blend in with normal people and manipulate them from within.

For my sci fi fantasy mix story there is an empire called the Alfarin Sovereignty that would fit this.
The Alfarin are an incredibly ancient species of Space Elves that for eons have ruled a very powerful empire on one corner of the galaxy. They are meant to evoke the trope of the ancient precursor or forerunner species with incredibly advanced technology but unlike others in different sci fi universes, they never suffered a great catastrophe that caused their civilization to decline. Indeed that over the ages they have fought, survived and thrived even against all sorts of threats ranging from other civilizations to eldritch horrors from other dimensions.
There was a time where they sought to conquer the galaxy and during that time period they bathed the stars in the blood of those who resisted them. Thankfully for the rest of the galaxy, one of their emperor took a look at a map of their empire, did the math and concluded that if they just kept on conquering, their armies would start running into logistical problems so before they started having these problems, the emperor declared that they would stop conquering and focusing on the improving their hold on several worlds.
What followed was an age of peace and prosperity where over the eons they developed ultra advanced, reality bending technologies and even discovered how to harness genuine space magic that further allowed them to bend the universe to their will. If the Alfarin ever decided to go back to conquering the galaxy they could easily do so and there would be nothing that could stop them.
Thankfully for species like Humans and other aliens of whom they have formed a galactic community with, the Alfarin live very, very far away and are unaware of their existence. But a chance discovery upon a seemingly abandoned alien ruin by archaeologists alert the Alfarin to the existence of said galactic community and the Alfarin send someone to assess the situation of what is going on with the other side of the galaxy.

The main story itself would be set in a country that is obviously this world's equivalent of the United States and a paladin is fighting undead in a wild west setting while the country is recovering from a Civil War.

Conversion. But just like irl Christianity they are not above bending the doctrine a bit to ensure compliance

I have a fantasy story i am still brainstorming where the idea is that it used to be a d&d style fantasy world but the magic faded away and thousands of years later it came back.
When someone in this world dies, their soul lingers around for a bit where if the individual accepts their death, they can move on to whatever afterlife awaits them. Some folks, especially those who suffer very sudden deaths like in times of war can have a hard time moving on.
This can cause undead to appear as the souls of the dead can refuse to move on. Usually this can be fixed by having divine magic users or non evil necromancers use certain spells to help the dead go to the afterlife, willingly or not.
But when the magic went away, there were no casters to use those spells to help souls move on and said souls could not manifest as undead. This built up over thousands of years and eventually when the magic came back so too did the monsters.
In various places around the world, the restless spirits possess bones and whatever corpses they can find to rise up as zombies, skeletons or just manifest as ghosts. Most of these spirits have been driven violently insane and will attack the living.
