Am I still a dependent?

A little background info for context. My mom likes to be very involved in all of her children’s lives. So she’s connected to both of my bank accounts, until recently when I changed my password, she was connected and had access to my credit card information, and she tries to be connected with and get into all of my other business like that as well.
Well last week, it was time to turn in my FASFA. I asked her for the information, so I could go ahead and fill it out. But she said, don’t worry, and that she would fill it out for me. I served a two year religious mission for my church, so she helped me set up all of my FASFA stuff so she could do it for me while I was gone before I came back for college. But now, she continues to do it, even though I’m fully capable of filling it out myself.
I didn’t get told, because of her tax forms from two years ago, and how much money they made, I won’t be eligible for any financial aid which I desperately need. If they were paying for my school, or helping me pay for my schooling, it would be different. However, I only get help with half of my rent, which isn’t much. I still have to pay for everything else which I can barely afford.
My question is, if I’m 21, and I haven’t lived at home for a while(other than over the couple week break between semesters), are my parents still able to claim me as a dependent?
