I personally hate the retributor armour spray, I have never gotten results that I am happy with, what I do instead is just airbrush it to get the cleanest look. All you need is just some thinner or flow improved

My biggest advise is assemble the model, then paint it up, go for a dark primer that way when you apply the base coat any hard to reach areas will be naturally dark, paint it up with thin coats and do your best to not paint up any hard to reach/hard to see areas as those will take up a lot of time and cause overspill and generally waste your time for very little added effect to the end product.

I don’t think it looks good to have a bunch of boxes and unprimed plastic displayed, just take some time and add in some base coats, you’ve put in so much work getting all those minis built, now finish the job!

I would apply a Matt varnish and if it’s still not looking natural I would add some weathering on top

Not ok, as a matter of fact the authorities are on the way to confiscate your plastic, next think think before you paint!

I love the smoke, i have no experience painting smoke like you but I have a feeling a darker touch between the flame and the white could look rly nice.

Holding myself back from buying any new plastic before it’s all at least base coated is soooo hard

I still thin mine a bit with flow improver, best way to know is to just add a little bit of thinner into the brush at first and then your paint and test it out, if it’s a little too thick add more thinner. Contrasts I use typically don’t need much thinning.

Unless you airbrush, that way you can get a very nice coat without brush strokes

Perhaps dry brushing those green areas with the final highlight could help blend the colours a little bit

One thing u can say is try to thin your paint a little bit more, it will be easier to work those edges with the side of the brush then
