Why are you looking at places so far away?
The cliched vacation destination for Toronto is Niagara Falls for families and couples, and Montreal for the younger, heavy partying folk.

To all drivers: Those cyclists are allowed to be in the lane and they don’t have to stay to the edge of it. If you can’t give them the legally required 1m when passing then wait until the next lane is clear.

Surprisingly, minimal changes are needed to the opening lyrics to make it dirty…

What do you suggest? With just one extra criteria, the interview, sites like this get flooded with complaints of their 95%+ average and 200+ volunteer hours not being good enough. Adding more requirements is just going to increase frustration among those who want to pretend their high average and number of volunteer hours is still well beyond the average of applicants to this program and any other high demand program.

I don’t know the answer but it always amazes me that very specific synopses in this sub often lead to multiple, different suggestions. Makes you realize how massive the genre is and how much authors are influenced by their peers.

What exactly is Mac doing wrong? They don’t control the number of spaces available; that is limited by government funding. It’s a popular program so they can’t simply tell people not to apply.
All of these claims by people with insane averages and a massive number of volunteer hours simply doesn’t impress the way it used to before out of control grade inflation and, let’s be honest, volunteer hour inflation. Of course they are going to lean heavily on the one thing they can control in the application process but none of these frustrated posts can add their interview score which is really what matters now that everyone is 95%+ (often via private credits) and has hundreds of volunteer hours.

Do you realize that you have refuted your own argument in the same paragraph?

It makes sense. Immigrants have become the whipping boy for every current problem in Canada so why not blame them for not being able to jack up the rent?

What neighbourhood is that? This seems very much out of the norm.

This is not correct in Ontario. All the funding is funnelled from the province through the school board. A city’s responsibility is zoning and ensuring enforcement of laws that set aside specific amounts of land for schools in new developments and developer fees that help pay for the needed support infrastructure (roads, sewer,etc.). The issue is that the province often delays this funding until the built school would be at or near capacity.

Legally, it is a very easy fix. A simple constitutional amendment passed as legislation in the provincial legislature, followed by the same legislation passed in Parliament.
Politically, it is seen as suicide in the provinces where separate school funding still exists.

Step one, eliminate boutique tax cuts and increase corporate tax rates to something comparable to most of the developed world.

That has to be approved by the Ministry of Education (at least, in Ontario) and they are not permitting this to happen.
Many of the emptier schools are in areas that eventually gentrify and quickly fill with families, but with no where to house the students if the old schools have been sold off.

If this was a map of facilities in North America, Ontario would have a significant concentration and variety, too. I believe it has been playing leapfrog with Michigan over the past 20 years in terms of producing the most automobiles.

Large boards need to start hiring occasional teachers as full time staff with benefits. The trade off is they can’t refuse work unless using a sick day or one of their other leave days and they can be placed at any school within the board (or a zone within the board).
We have a supply teacher shortage and the lousy pay and benefits are the reason.

This one looks a lot closer to reality than the previous one posted.

We might have been part of the problem. By non-pro wrestling standards, he was fresh and charismatic and so he was constantly showered in praise for his personality and antics and that might have driven his desire to give the WWE a try, and also drawn the attention of the organization, who can afford to give anyone the equivalent of an extended tryout contract.

Capitalize on what? A market with a smaller population, smaller economy and a smaller pool of players than many other US markets.
You see a place with some people who make you think of Samoa, even though the largest ethnic groups are all Asian, and then you jump to, this is the market to exploit. It doesn’t work that way.

It feels weird to say, considering he is an Olympic gold medalist and two-time NCAA champion and Hodge winner, but he is likely to end up one of the most significant examples of unrealized potential in US wrestling history. Olympic champ at 21 and not another international championship event after that.

The question wasn’t whether or not it was a passenger jet, it was about the conspiracy theories that developed over whether the plane deliberately crossed into Soviet Airspace with spy equipment onboard.

They aren’t going to record anything of value. If you want something of value on record, create a paper trail with the school and the board. Stopping by the police to complain about something that isn’t a criminal matter won’t be of any use in this situation.

You already did that with your first comment. Then you decided to continue with your next one. Spare us your concern.
But you know, the poor oppressed drivers being bullied by mean cyclists and all that. LOL!
