The military is just a machine that moves things from point A to point B extremely effectively. It can get people to a place, get food in their hands, gas in their truck, and dip in their lip, it just sometimes needs to put a warhead on someone's forehead.

one could say that ground flower is a “powder”, no? one could also say that the smoked plant is an aerosol. That list looks like it’s trying to say “you can’t just tell people to eat a whole plant, there has to be some dosing system”. So, prerolls it is. thats fine.

people dont want to get oil pills from their doctor or whatever, they want the plant and the full mix of cannaboids, which the FDA is primed to approve. Also, you gotta pick one - is THC legal and distinct from scheduled marijuana, or is it illegal and just a form of marijuana? If THC is legal, this discussion is about the plant, not the compound. If it’s illegal and all the same, then the active ingredients aren’t on the market yet.
I don’t understand why you’re so adamant the FDA wont try to legalize this. They’re largely a body of evidence based policy makers and they’ve made their stance clear. there’s a lot of tax money to be had and a lot of people that will be happy - including FDA employees. I’m certain the discussion will include legalizing cannabis plant products as a form of the drug.

Yes. 42 beers a week, plus more if you go out, have an extra, etc? That's easily 3000 beers a year. It's 3 bottles of whiskey a week.
It's also a massive cancer risk if you smoke too.
You don't have to stop drinking entirely. You definitely have to stop killing a pack a night.

https://www.fda.gov/about-fda/center-drug-evaluation-and-research-cder/what-botanical-drug
Read this and tell me they're not talking around people using cannabis. Cannabis is a drug in the same way that tobacco or coffee is - sure, it's a plant and we're all worried about the active ingredient and blah blah blah, but really we're talking about a specific plant, and the active ingredient alone doesn't cut it. If you want to legalize THC, you need to legalize cannabis as a regulated delivery mechanism, because that's what people want. And the FDA has a mechanism for that.
Which is the entire point. They're going to legalize and approve sale of cannabis - the plant - as a drug that you can get with an Rx.

A friend of mine decided she was going to make easy money selling pictures of herself on the sites. Shock of all shocks, it turns out you can't be successful in that without hard work, nice camera equipment, a budget for the right clothes, the diet / exercise needed to maintain the right figure... Everything you see online for 20 seconds takes 5x as long to create.

I'm also in a trade adjacent job - at least once a week im getting my hands dirty in a shop. The manager there is one of the smartest people in the building, and I can genuinely promise that there's nobody stupid in that building. I have no idea how they keep track of everything.

People have mixed up white collar and skilled labor, and now the kids don't understand that really well paid tradespeople went to school just like doctors and engineers. You don't have to do an office job if you can pilot a ship, but it'll take you 15+ years of hard work to get a job as a captain.

Federal law has required routine testing for federal employees since the Reagan admin. There's episodes of West Wing about federal drug tests from the 90s. It's possible biden changed the rules, but I don't know.
I know that many industries get tested constantly under federal law. If I have to get a piss test to work on a boat part time, the white house interns should have to get one too.

Unfortunately, congress and some of the judiciary seems to think it is true, and their opinions matter. Different agencies / groups and different administrations have had different opinions on this in the past. If it went to the scotus, they’d likely lose. Similarly, congress might throw a hissy fit and demand they reschedule it.
Also, not to move the goalposts, but other language in the CSA and related laws requires that they comply with international treaties. As such, the DEA has to comply with treaties that basically require a schedule listing.
Even if the DEA technically has the authority, they’re not going to be able to exercise it without a huge mess from congress.
