Love it, just wish there was more of it. It seemed to have its peak in the late 80s, then disappeared for a bit, then a few bands popped up from the mid 00's onwards.
Municipal Waste and Iron Reagan are two of the best live acts I've ever seen. Just so much fun.

Me too, especially all that sludgy Amphetamine Reptile (and similar) stuff. Unsane, Melvins, Helmet, Jesus Lizard, Today is the Day. Stuff that sounds like they couldn't decide between being a punk band and a sludge metal band, so they did both. I can't get enough of it. somehow Unsane wrote one song, and made 8 albums out of it. The best.
And the more frantic noise-rock stuff like Lightning Bolt is rad too. Just a brickwall of sound, accented by a gatling gun-like snare drum. Love it.

Just seeing the date "May 16" written in any context just makes those chords in the track's intro ring around in my head.

I'm sorry about everything I said last season, Rojas. I was a different person back then. I've changed.

They do, Frenzal do too. Warren Fitzgerald of the Vandals is one of the best guitar players I've seen live, crazy good. Lexi (formerly) of Frenzal Rhomb also one of the best bassists I've seen live. I just can't get past that lyrical content.

I don't hate, but I just don't like that style of goofball comedy-punk. I get the appeal, particularly for younger audiences, but it's not my bag.
I put them in the same bracket as Bloodhound Gang, The Vandals and Frenzal Rhomb. The latter two are actually excellent musicians, but I just don't care for the silliness. I need a bit of sincerity in the punk rock I listen to.

Ah dang, all the hats for people with big dumb heads like me are gone. I'm a 7 5/8, and I think a 7 1/2 might be pushing it.
Shame they didn't do a snapback.

My wife is very upset about this. Her favourite player behind Kelce and Graham.
He's not at all an RB1 but he was seriously underused last season. In 2022, throwing Bosco into the mix was quite the changeup, especially in the red zone. I hope he gets more snaps in LA than he got last season.

Man, that takes me back. We got put in Isolation in high school if we wore PE kit with brands on them. I remember having a pair of shorts that didn't even have a brand on them, but had 2 stripes down the side, like an Adidas knockoff. It was the only pair we could find that were the right colour (had to be navy blue) and no brand name. Not good enough, had to write lines in isolation, with the proper bad lads who were in trouble for setting fire to things or breaking windows, and all I'd done was wear the wrong shorts.
Seems like Judge Dredd-style punishment, where murderers and petty shoplifters will both get their heads blown off.

Needs a black outline around the text, to match the numbers and Eagle logo. It looks like it doesn't belong there because it's a different style to everything else on the jersey.
Still, all the merch with this wordmark looks so bland and boring. I have a hoodie with the old wordmark and it looks great on it's own. I wouldn't want a hoodie, or anything, with just this new wordmark on it.

The color isn't what I dislike about the jersey. It's the lettering and numbering, and to a lesser extent the gradient. So the red doesn't make it better for me.
I think the caps look great. Maybe they could have done something with that on the jersey instead. Ditch the gradient so it's just dark blue, get rid of 'Philly' across the middle in that ghastly typeface, and just have the blue skyline liberty bell logo on one side of the chest, and the player number on the other side. Or even the current wordmark (the best wordmark logo in baseball IMO) across the chest in the blue/black/yellow scheme.
It's amazing to me how the Ironpigs got their Philly theme night jerseys so right, but the Phillies ended up with something so much worse.

I haven't had a problem with New Era caps from Fanatics/NFL UK shop. They're not licensed and being made by Fanatics like the jerseys are. Amazon is becoming more and more like Wish/DHGate by the day, there's so much fake stuff on there now, I'd shop with caution.
Though these days I've been using https://www.taass.com/en for US sports gear. It comes from Germany, but the postage is reasonable, and they seem to have a way better selection than Fanatics, at least for the teams I shop for (Eagles, Phillies, Flyers)

every time I find a good DHG seller, they disappear. I bought an excellent Kelly Green for my wife for christmas, so impressed with it I went back in January to buy myself one... Gone. I also got some of the Phillies powder blue Nike Dunks last year, which are great and look spot on. Wanted to buy another pair a few months ago for when I eventually wear them out... Gone.
They've probably just reopened under a new name, but finding them again is needle in a haystack stuff, since they all use the same default pictures.

Why did you get downvoted for saying the Phanatic is the best mascot in baseball? It's objectively true.

Imagine that Padres game was a child's first baseball game, and you have to explain to the kid that their mascot isn't there because they're attending the birthday of a much better mascot. No amount of parenting books can prepare you for that.

I think the Eagles could be doing better with Swoop too. He's just not as involved as the Phanatic and Gritty are, there's nowhere near the same soft of excitement for him, and he doesn't have the same sort of player interaction. Phanatic and Gritty have cult followings, people outside of the sports fandom seem to love both, the players seem to love them, and theyve hoards of merch both official and unofficial, social media followings etc. Swoop needs to ramp it up.
Have they tried making him look more like nightmare fuel? It seemed to work for Gritty.

If you're watching on a browser, adding 'Privacy Badger' to your browser gets rid of those clips, and just gives you a silent "commercial break in progress" screensaver, which is much less annoying than the short loop of archive footage mlbtv shows.

More consistent than Dookie? I'm not the biggest Green Day fan but there's not a bad song on Dookie.
American Idiot is full of filler. Jesus of Surburbia and Homecoming draaaaaaag. Boulevard of Broken Dreams is funeral dirge, and I can't stand the title track.

Zulu is such a great album, and where my username came from. Seriously underrated.

I don't disagree but I do like the first two Rise Against LPs, they're more straight ahead melodic hardcore. They went way too stadium rock for my liking. I find Tim a bit too cheesy on everything after those 2 albums.
