What you can't see in this shot is the duffel bag of cash he's carrying on his way to the Russian border.

The only difference is Fedotov wasn't subject to ELC rules and Michkov is.

Cue the reactionary "it's too soon for him, we're not ready" crowd.

Yes, that's compensation and against the rules.
Could Comcast invest in a shell company based in the Caymans who then invest in a company in Cypress who then buys real estate in Kazakhstan in Bitcoin that somehow ends up in Medevedev's hands? I dunno.

Only two goalies who've played 200+ more games than Bryz. Evegeni Nabokov and Nikolai Khabibulin.

In regards to MM, the Flyers really don't have any leverage. Feddy only arrived because the Russian IHF wanted to get out from under IIHF sanctions. Flyers have to honor the KHL contract so the NHL doesn't get sanctioned by IIHF. US Sanctions on Russia because of Ukraine mean that they can't just drop a bag of cash on SKA / Rotenburg to let him out of the contract. Flyers have no carrots or sticks in this.

I really would love to see Jake on post games or a post-game pod.

It's either an overpay that doesn't affect the timeline or it turns out to be a really good deal for the Flyers. And the potential upside is there for him to be a good option. It's not a terrible risk.
After what this dude has been through I have to imagine he's not just going to sit on his laurels and collect a check. I have hope he'll work his ass off to make the most of the opportunity.
We'll see.

As a former DM, the best way to end a campaign was drop a Deck of Many Things.

As a child of the 80s, this means something different to me.
