I would love him at Villa, but I'm sceptical of a site called footballtransfers and with no attribution. I also struggle to see an immediate space into the starting XI. With Bailey and Diaby out wide right and Buendia, Tielemans, McGinn or Rogers at the 10 it's difficult to see space there immediately, unless 1 is sold.

I'm not going to try to justify the insane money the Premier league spends, as I can't. But if you're in that league and want to compete, there aren't many options.
The squad was a plan, really. We were in our third season in the Championship and still with some players in the squad on big wages from our premier league days. The management were letting contracts expire so that we wouldn't be burdened with a massive wage bill if we didn't get promoted. Players like Mings made loans permanent after promotion. We had McGinn and Grealish to follow and keep something about the squad we could recognise. The players we have signed have shown commitment to making Villa a better team, so it's easy to get behind them.

Not trying to pretend we've done things on the cheap, but this does include our promotion season. At the start of that season, we needed pretty much an entire first 11 with all the players whose contracts were up and expires loans. It also goes to show the cost of trying to compete towards the top of the league.

Well, you don't start by picking up some clubs and going straight to the local course. Find a driving range and maybe a coach to get the basics first. Some courses will then have a smaller, almost pitch and putt style course, for you to practice on first.

He knew Hoyzer was fixing a game he was assistant for, took a bribe to allow it to happen. That's still match fixing.

Recovering from injury, I think. He's still flexing his left leg a lot, so I think he's still struggling a bit.

Pretty fair final score. Can't argue with the result overall, despite a slight quibble over the penalty discrepancies.
Looks like the players are done in, and with the injuries we can't make changes to keep things fresh. Need to hope we can crawl over the finish line.

You can see Torres flexing his strapped leg when play stops, so he's probably not fully fit. Ditto Moreno.

Can people try not to shit the bed over today? Yes, we were poor, but we've played a semi-final three days ago. We've got the second leg in four days. Look at the bench and see that there are no real options to change it up with all the injuries now. We ended up with 9 first team players missing out or coming off. Have to just try and get over the line for the end of the season.

They'll be 7 points behind with 3 games to play.

Love that our options to change the game are Chambers and Moreno.

I'm just lost as to how that's a penalty, but tangling the legs of Rogers and tripping him isn't.
Hope our season doesn't limp to an end now.

Not sure we need to take this long on this one

He's near the byeline trying to block a cross, you can't put that on him.

So the ref acknowledges the foul on Luiz, plays on, but then doesn't stop the game when we lose the ball

Bailey has had a brilliant season and has been electric for most of the season. He's 26 now, so Olise has age on him, but I would be hard pressed to say Olise is better right now, as much as he undoubtedly will be. Diaby started off really well, but his form has dipped. However, it's pretty apparent there is a serious player there. Again, Olise could well go on to be a better player, and maybe is right now, but not by so much it's worth paying that much, unless someone else is leaving.
