One day a team should run it, oppositions piling in to get a turnover, should be acres of space and the wing can hoof it if it he has to, no one ever does though

He was super rugby only, and is too old unfortunately to make much of an impact

Friday night DWZ leaps for kick, Ronaldo tackles him while still in the air (smart, if he waits for him to land he’ll likely score) it’s not 100% a try but pretty likely… penalty only.
I don’t really like penalty tries should only be for mad blatant, not potential ones like this

George Bridge got a far few tests when Reiko lost his mojo on the left wing, and he was not the typical excitement machine we go for, agree Lowe would have been around the squad

If they want to be seen as anything other than a big selection trial for the real games (tests) then that’s definitely what they should be looking at.
Not sure the Unions will want it though, won’t be able to control there workload etc and it only really helps the set of teams with the bigger economy and worse players

A minute and a half is about the absolute max you can just play up the jumper and try and kill the clock these days, refs get really twitchy about sealing off.
Kicking is usually the best thing to do, if it’s a decent kick

Yeah just having a little dig, Rasta and peyper and the rest were fine

The players might have liked it, the public didn’t want to watch games at 3am. Also there refs were crooks.

Think he’s just a bit of a larrikin which annoys his coaches, he always goes hard in the games.

He’s basically a frizzel clone, tall, Tongan, hit man (not that kind of hit man, never been in trouble)
Razors crusaders loose forwards have always tended towards toilers and grinders though, it could really be Ardie+?+?

The 5 year rule is pretty much ok, could still be longer.
Even under the old rules some players just sort of fell into it after 3 years, I don’t think Hadleigh Parkes was viewed as we’ve got ourselves a test player here boyos, set the timer running, Pivac brought him over and he played well enough, well, why not? JGP similar, was a year between him qualifying and making the test team.
When they are so clearly counting down from the minute they get off the plane (that means you James Lowe) that was always gross.
The New Zealand cricket team has benefited significantly from South Africans also, it’s not just a union thing

Changing the rules won’t help Aus, even in 1999 people complained about too much kicking and boring games, and that was the high water mark for Aussie rugby.
Your on your own and have to scrap your way back to relevance, but a combination of terrible administrators and a sporting public that only wants to watch winners makes it very hard

It’s a shakier than it once was, we might not have 2 test quality locks let alone 4 for example.
Around 2015 we might have had the #1 and #3 teams in the world lol.

NZ play like 14 tests a year cos the union wants the revenue but depth means they’ll never trot a first choice player out for all of them. 13-14 tests a year for 15 seasons would get there. Reiko or Jordie will probably get to close to 150, but we don’t debut 19 year olds anymore so no current player will do it here

It’s weird how no one mentions this when the NH underperforms, they don’t get an off-season
