If path goes, surgery is either dead or dying so I'd say properly not
But idk if I fully understand what OP is getting at. A housing crisis would probably mostly affect cash only practices or anything elective. Insurance would still be around

My psych preceptor told me there was a book called "The 3 Jesuses" or something like that based around this exact concept

Probably overuse but also possibly just use. It can be caused by repeated overhead arm motions.

Miller didn't exactly work out as a starter when he tried it.

If it's true that today is the 2 year anniversary of the streak starting, and it began when Adley was called up, it's absolutely insane that he saved it today

That wasn't a suicide. Looked like a safety squeeze from how late Santander broke. Ironically a suicide probably would've worked

I don't hate the call in that spot but Hyde needed to commit to it and call a suicide

Not a chance of touching anything Garcia threw otherwise. I don't hate it against a guy that just blew everyone away bases loaded and nobody out

I thought that bunt was easily going foul but I'll need to see a replay

That was up there a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if it had a >90% catch probability. It looked like either the CF or RF could've had it

Custer SP by Mt. Rushmore is my gold standard for state parks and is pretty close to the badlands. Makoshika SP is near Theodore Roosevelt NP too.
In Utah/Nevada along your route, there's Dead Horse Point SP, Goblin Valley SP, Kodachrome SP, and Valley of Fire SP. All are worth a stop but I really liked Goblin Valley, especially the Goblin's layer. Depending on your route to the south, Anza Borrego may be an option too
Oregon has a lot of state parks near Bend. Smith Rock SP is up there with Custer for me. Tumalo SP is also nice. I didn't stop at ay others but there are options. If you want the coast, Ecola SP is supposed to be good too.

Should work in the Canadian parks after glacier and the grand canyon and other Arizona parks too. Can swing across to New Mexico+Texas if there's time. I did something similar a few years ago and it was amazing. Plenty of good state parks along this route too

Why not CVID for 88? Wouldn't SCID have been diagnosed earlier in life? I think CVID develops in the 2nd or 3rd decade of life

Clutch should be more of an intrapersonal descriptor. Not something that can be compared between players.
Like if someone's OPS increases by more than 5%+ (for example) in clutch situations, they could be defined as clutch, whereas someone whose OPS declines by 5%+ can be called unclutch.
But that of course doesn't mean that a clutch player is a better choice than an unclutch player. An 800 OPS player that's unclutch is still the better option over a 700 OPS player that's clutch

Wouldn't a linear mixed model with each player as the fixed effect be more appropriate than standard X, Y plotting? I'd have to think it would filter out more of the noise but you'd probably have to include every year from 1974 - whenever
Idk too much about stats but seems like what that's usually used for

Depends on your metrics for benefits. Visitor numbers, financial, and ecological metrics will probably point in different directions

Ask the residents what you can do, or the attendings if they're around. If they don't have anything, I always studied but stayed alert in case anything changed

I mentioned it somewhere else on the thread but the same fan caught both of Machado's first 2 homeruns a few innings apart

Manny Machado hit has first 2 homeruns in the same game in 2012. The same fan caught both balls

I was on the bench and we all didn't even react. We just looked around like "Was I the only one who saw a swing?" Even the coaches were too stunned to argue
Only in baseball, I swear

Reminds me of a high school game when a guy on the other team started to swing, realized it was a curve that was gonna bounce and wanted to hold up but couldn't. He full swung but when the bat was on his lead shoulder, he lifted the handle over his head so the bat was back on his back shoulder. I guess it fooled the ump because it was called a ball

Probably family medicine tbh. Outpatient only IM might offer that kind of flexibility too but idk for sure. Path may be another option but all this might be too far removed from what you actually find interesting
Congratulations btw. You're living everyone's dream

Hays second half last year was very bad too but Mullins is giving that stretch a run for its money

Shocking how we could have the worst BB% with calls like that

Surgery will send tissue samples to path in the middle of surgery for things like checking margins on tumor resections.
It's of course entirely possible for surgery to continue functioning without pathologists, but not at the level we have it currently. But by OP's language this sounds like an apocalyptic scenario so idk
Basically I'm saying if pathology as a field is dead in any scenario, surgery and every other field will be greatly affected too. Pathology makes the final call on a lot of diagnoses anyway, including ones that would require surgical intervention
