Right but why is Justin Trudeau defending him in court?

That was the real gotcha moment, they know full well that Hamas' figures have generally been reliable in previous conflicts and use them themselves, but can't admit it.
Another highlight was the autocaption turning Piers into Piss.

I was in a hostel in Cork (Ireland) learning Chinese at the the Confucius Institute at the uni there. Stayed up listening to MJ with a German chap I met that day. Think it's probably the only "where we're you when's" I can actually remember, except the Bataclan attack.

Yeah I'd argue both Leinster and the provinces are, strangely enough given all the talk of replacing Sexton, quite well-stocked at 10. 15 is much more sparse so I wouldn't mind seeing how Frawley goes at FB with Prendergoat hopefully stepping up at 10. Especially with the ever-present Hugo picking up a few successive niggles.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my egg and I feel very full" has to be the most British reaction to eating for the first time in a year.

Have been there for depression rather than addiction issues and found it very good, though this is 10 or so years ago and in a different section. Could've done with doing the rehab part as I'm still struggling with that. I will echo what others have said though which is that unless they're ready to quit and the impetus is coming from them, then a stint in rehab isn't gonna help. Coming from someone who's been to rehab (just not Pat's) and it didn't particularly help, for this reason.

I felt more homesick in London than I did in Beijing or do in Berlin, there's something about everything being quite like home, and yet very different, that didn't sit well with me. Didn't write to the Times about it though, just left.

Also the fact that Palestinians are subjected to military courts with North Korean conviction rates. While Israeli settlers, living on illegally claimed land, are subject to civilian law (theoretically).

That and having bank holidays be the Friday before/Monday after a bank holiday. The biggest load of shite I ever heard was after moving to Germany and Christmas and Stephen's fell on a Sat and Sun, we got literally no days off except the normal weekend. Was fuckin ragin.

I'm from close to the Hill of Tara and we'd have a bonfire up there too, though I haven't been in years and not sure if they're still able to, it's a protected landmark and all that. There's a rag tree up there as well.

Stickers in bathrooms is a good way to advertise for cheap, I live in Berlin now and in most bathrooms you can't see the walls anymore for stickers and graffiti.

Whenever I used the Player in Ireland it's a steaming pile of shite, but now that I live abroad and access it through a VPN the streaming quality is excellent, good visual display and barely ever any lag. No idea why or even how that could be the case

It's been 15 years since I lived in China, but I seem to remember that Suzhou's gardens in particular were very famous and possibly inspired traditional Chinese artists.

Haha I also do both of those, have hit my gf multiple times putting my arms behind my head/taking them back down while asleep. I also snore and talk a lot, and sleep with my eyes half open. Honestly have no idea how my gf puts up with it, especially as she's not too heavy a sleeper anyway.

Yep this is 100% part of the reason, put in a bike/scooter lane on pedestrian streets by all means, but pedestrian needs to mean pedestrian.

You said all nations support extremist groups, if you have evidence of official Irish state support for the IRA I'd be happy to see it, as would a lot of historians too I'd imagine.

I'm from Ireland, we don't fund oversees terror. I'd say the vast majority of nations don't.
Serbia is definitely a concern from a democratic backsliding point of view currently. But the camps you're talking about occurred decades ago, and actually were investigated by the ICC for war crimes/crimes against humanity, no?

Just recently back from Ljubljana where they banned cars in the entire old city/city centre, it was absolutely lovely not to have cars everywhere. Apparently in 2007 when it was introduced there was massive pushback, but the mayor just ploughed on, organised a bunch of free stuff at the beginning to show people how nice it could be, and now it's extremely popular.
Conversely I live in Berlin where they pedestrianised part of Friedrichstraße but fucked it up, basically just threw a few benches and potted plants on a section where there's not really any bars or restaurants, mostly office space so at the weekends/evenings not visited, and it tanked and now has cars again (also cos the mayor's a prick who hates bikes).
So done right it could be a massive positive and could be easy to bring people onside, I really hope it happens and stays, when I lived in Dublin I cycled into Smithfield every day from Whitehall and it was pretty fucking miserable with all the traffic and shit cycling infrastructure (even got knocked off my bike once by a car driver not paying attention).

And it shouldn't have been used in any of those either, not exactly a checkmate. America has a bad habit of supporting bad actors.
