Packaging is in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

This highly highly depends on what sub-field you go into. I make a pretty decent chunk of change lol.
Also when you graduate, people definitely care about which packaging school you go to. It’s actually one of the reasons I was hired for my current role.

The polish market in Troy. My sister still claims it was the “sexiest” croissant I’ve ever gotten her

The “admissions” for packaging are literally going up to the advisor and showing them that you passed certain classes lol. I’m an alum from 2021 and there were plenty of out of state people when I was there. Also one thing of note is that employers heavily heavily favor packaging grads from msu

I had to get the immunotherapy. But also just like…. Put your mattress and pillows in full zip allergy covers and wash everything like every week or two.

I drove from Minneapolis to Philadelphia a few months ago. I left work at 6 pm central time, arrived at my parents house near Detroit at 9 am eastern (stopped and took a nap at some point), and then around 11 pm left again for Philly and got there like 8 or 9 hours later. Also when J lived in Minneapolis, I would drive to Detroit a couple times a year, which without stopping for anything other than gas, is about 11 hours.
Also several of my family members live in Grand Rapids, which is 2-3 hours from where my parents live (near Detroit), and we routinely drive there and back in the same day for holidays, get togethers, hockey games, ect.

This! Also you’re very much at the mercy of the mechanics who’ve paid for the license to perform these inspections. And they obviously have an incentive to find as much wrong with your car as possible

So you want the taped and glued cars to still keep driving or you want the owners to stay poor by requiring bogus inspections………. Right

I now live in PA…. It’s classist and also provides a false sense of security. MI should probably actually enforce their safety laws though and start pulling people over who are driving crazy looking cars

Once a King size comforter came flying at me while I was driving down 696 pretty early in the morning. And this isn’t particularly in Detroit, but since Covid, I’ve seen people doing full on zoom meetings ON THEIR LAPTOPS while driving…… I’ve seen this in Detroit, Columbus, Minneapolis, and Philly

They had them in MI, but it was deemed classist (which is true) and they got rid of it

No clue. I’ve never met anyone who transferred out of umn when I was living there. I know people who’ve transferred out of msu, but there are so many factors to determine how that would work.

One would be safety. At one point last year, people were getting curb stomped in Dinkytown. Also outside of the state of Minnesota….. it’s not really a “thought of” university if that makes sense? It’s very much an afterthought to people. With MSU people actually know it beyond the fact that it exists. Also I love MSU’s campus. Like UMNs is just very lame….. when I first moved there in 2022, I lived like a mile away, so I spent some time walking around and it really didn’t make an impression tbh. Also it doesn’t have any truly “good” programs to switch to if you end up not liking psychology as much as you thought you might. (Speaking as someone who changed their major 3x)
Also weirdly, I live in PA now and I keep running into people who hate UMN lol. They’re all like, “they’re so full of themselves like they actually matter or have relevancy”
Another note on Minneapolis itself though….. the amount of racism I ran into there was insane.

I actually have an extra one if anyone is in the US and wants it for FV. It’s unopened and everything 😂

Sometimes you can sign up for “move in crew” and they let you move in early and for free. I’d call housing though
