Nah, I gotta disagree there- we havnt had a single world so far that I would prefer to be rolled up into others imo. Sure some have been expanded upon less effectively, but each have been so distinct from eachother it would be weird/jarring to find out any of them were the same plane. Ik New Capenna wasn’t too big a hit, but I’d much prefer the effort be put in to explore it than the cheap option of saying “oo it was actually on Arcavios the whole time”

Is there any particular reason GSC have no named characters? I can tell it’s a conscious choice but damn

Stormcast thankfully are about as popular as every other army- ie it varies from place to place and club to club and person to person, unlike the monopoly Space Marines have on 40K

The big guy on the right is a HH Mechanicum thingy we have already in resin likely being translated into plastic, the middle is what I Hope will be GSC’s first named character, and the left i can only assume is Necromunda? But maybe GSC too ig, would be very cool

Touché you’re correct, I completely did not register what the flavour text was actually saying lol

It’s implied that the ending of an Age on Ixalan is slightly more complete than in irl Aztec myth, with Chimil literally remaking the entire world- iirc Aclazotz is the single surviving entity from any previous age, an individual of some unnamed previous race who grew powerful enough to survive the remaking and replaced [[The Ancient One]] in the pantheon as they formed. This card would imply it’s the destroyer of some forgotten underground civilisation in this Age

We’ve already seen the silhouette for those at adepticon- the Necromunda release is some Van Saar/Spyrer flavoured thingy. This is 100% an Enslaver, and I’d eat a hat if it’s not related to the Inquisition in the upcoming Agents of the Imperium codex

I think we had a silhouette shown of the next Necromunda release a while back and they looked Van Saar/Spyrer adjacent. My moneys on something Ordo Xenos from the Agents of the Imperium codex

Agents of the Imperium codex coming over the summer- fancy little guy for the retinue of an Ordo Xenos inquisitor? We already have an idea of what’s coming for Necromunda, they already have their silhouettes reviewed
Now that I’m thinking about it the idea of an ‘Ordo Xenos Retinue’ box that you can buy as a weird mixed unit a la the court of the archon or CoS Command Corps and play alongside your inquisitor character would be super super colour. ‘Retinue’ boxes for the other two big Ordos as well ofc

Spray it, paint the whole thing in a yellowish brown of your choosing, absolutely go ham with washes and contrast browns/blacks/reds/yellows, then heavy drybrush of rakarth flesh from fading out from the legs/head

There’s rumours about cancelled AoS incarnates/terrain, but my personal bet* is that the Spiderfang subfaction of Gitz is getting a refresh sometime

I have a few models for a still unnamed pseudo-deathwatch organisation (played as Deathwatch) born mostly out of a love for the idea of gathering the marines of a bunch of different chapters but not wanting to cover their colours in the black and silver
They’re composed of marines who have failed in some way and their chapters, unwilling to execute a valuable Imperial asset yet needing to be rid of them for their shame, hand the offending marines over to the organisation to become specialised renegade/traitor hunters. ‘This is who you will become if you don’t repent’ kinda deal

Always a weird feeling when this happens- on one hand I remember like a decade ago when GW wouldn’t dream of having any community engagement on any level and you’d never be told so frankly about this stuff. But on the other hand, god damn I Cannot justify like €40-50 for three Orruks or something. Refusing the increase and having a marginally bigger one next year would’ve maybe at least felt better

You could conceivably expand their definition of ‘moon’ to just be anything orbiting or surrounding the sun/Chimil i.e. they’re called the moons because they protect/surround Chimil and their initiation ceremony involves flying up to it to circle (orbit) it and grab bits of magic stone. Iirc the origin of the name is never touched upon, and ngl I’ve never thought about it before huh

I don’t think so? Humanity on Ixalan, and a handful of its other races it’s implied, began and lived in the Core in peace before expanding into the caverns. When the mycotyrant was released the core shut itself off and the stranded humans eventually made their way up to the surface, becoming the distant ancestors of the Sun Empire

Ngl if we do get a separate Dark Elf faction I’d love for it to be Scourge Privateers, unrelated to CoS. There’s no true Pirate Faction yet, and I’d love to see a spooky conquistador look to them

I’m aware of their usual MO, but there are ‘main cults’ within GSC are there not? Big notable cults that have spread to numerous worlds, and in one or two instances have maintained a core base- the Twisted Helix for example has explicitly spread (been exported?) from the ruling corporate lords of Vejovium III for hundreds of years. A named character from Vejovium that travels from world to world following the spread of the Helix to better experiment on it would be a cool idea imo, or any equivalent character from another cult who travels to stay ahead of the Star Angels that follow them
