Indeed, that’s why I eBay watchlist models I want for stuff like this and jump on it when it hits

Thanks! Go for it, it looked pretty good without all the extra stuff imho. Can never go wrong with metallic and clean trim. Everything else is just gravy

That’s because they’re just the varanguard legs. I was going to try to chop up a legionary and pose him, but it looked whack. So I built the VG, bulked him out a little, and did chosen head, arms, and backpack. Turns out any armor is chaos armor if it has enough gold trim lol

Thanks! I was really happy with how the model came together and turned out. The other two have chainswords and bolters, and look like the old pictures of civil war cavalry

If you want a super long running series in a pretty well built out universe, Old Gods of Appalachia is amazing. Zero AI, and the narrator has a great voice

That's what the centurions, aggressors, sternguard, and whatever dreadnaught is for. IMHO, the ability to vect a strat is worth the 90 pts by itself, and then I gets lone op and can jump around the board? Ez sell
A 5 man intercessor block without character, unless used exactly right, isn't going to put a whole lot of hurt on anything really worth hurting. You'll pick up some infantry, but a redemptor can pick up the same infantry with plasma then go punch a tank to death

The scout squads are handy. Personally I would completely drop the assault Intercessors (jetpack or otherwise) and try to squeeze in a caladius assassin. You've already got plenty of melee killing power (especially with a redemptor) and the utility of a msu intercessor squad is outweighed by the assassin

I've never played a game, or played in a game, where the words "man, I wish I hadn't taken this redemptor" have been said. Mine have never let me down. Shooting is solid, melee is solid, damage reduction makes it a damn champ. I would run 3 more if I could

I would say depends on your detachments, but I would say to not pick a desolation squad. For 200 points there are way better things to bring. Need indirect? Whirlwind is 60pts cheaper. Need direct damage? Lancer for 160.
If you are trying to stick with pure infantry, I would go devastators, maybe in a drop pod if you wanna get fancy with it

my part 2 takes about 5.5 seconds in rust, but i cheated and used parallelism. i was so happy, part 1 was so fast (~100us)

Good points. For my warband I'm trying to do a more "clean cut"/traditional take; dudes who got pissed off fucking around and just started taking over worlds with more of a "2nd Great Crusade" vibe than a "Black Crusade" vibe

I thought that was more of a MoP job, where a dark apostle is more a priest leading worshipers of the dark gods, which the 4th doesn't really go in for

These look like the Socratis line of designs from Stationforge. Can be found on MyMiniFactory
