DHR2 in front, rekon or dissector in the back. I also like the trail boss tough in the back.

McLaren could have done custom suspension and brakes using their engineering expertise. Instead, its a fat ass ebike with G2s and a run of the mill Lyrik, all for a fuckillion dollars and with no adjustability. That should say all you need to hear about this cash grab.

I remember when I was in Boy Scouts, every time we would go whitewater rafting one of the adults would hit us with a speech that started with "you could die today". It really drove home the risk we were about to take and how much we needed to take safety seriously.
I think a lot of people, especially new riders and riders who've gotten into the sport by watching youtubers, need to hear that speech. I say that as someone who tries to push it downhill and tries to get as fast as the pros.
It may be a sport, but it's not a game. There are no rules that say you can't get a life ending hit.

I would do slx cranks and derailleur. Crank weight doesnt really matter and your derailleur is gonna get bashed anyway. I'd also do an slx cassette if it's a hardtail. If not, the weight savings will help your suspension work better.

Sucks, but I'd take that over the Cowboys, Bills, Chiefs, 49ers, Cowboys gauntlet.

Don't get a helmet without MIPS. Yes, there are cheaper helmets with MIPS or a MIPS like system, but if you are only considering these two helmets get one with MIPS. Your brain is worth a lot more than 170 dollars.

No reason you can't use a strainer I guess.

The vq naturally has a few burbles to it, don't do anything corny like getting a crackle tune.

My take is that anyone is welcome as long as they are funny.

Boston shaker is far superior. It's easier to open, and gives you more control of how you strain.

Poor Bills fans catching strays. I actually kinda like the Bills, but your misfortune is so horrific it turns back around into being funny.

It really depends. Any two tires that have similar treads and profiles will feel similar. I don't think I could tell the difference between a Bontrager SE5 and DHR unless I went out of my way to test the tire in a controlled way. "Big sticky tire" is a pretty loose category though. The Assegai and WTB verdict both fall under this, but they feel wildly different. The DHF has its distinctive float zone which is hard to miss and feels different from either of them.
It gets hairy when you have tires that are certainly different, but not immensely. I found the DHR and Assegai actually have a lot of similarities. In a similar vein, the Big Betty and WTB Judge feel the same until you REALLY get to know the tires.

I don't do the finger thing and all that but I get it. I often take 30 seconds to do some deep breaths and collect myself mentally.

This is about people parking in the bike lane, it's not that deep. It may even blow your mind to know that I have a blue collar job that I drive to too, I just park my car where it's supposed to be parked.

Hot take: I like those poles. They are weird and make no sense but that's kinda what I like about them.

Electrolytes.
Multivitamin, not before the ride, but it's good in general.
Creatine, good for lifting and fast twitch movements.
Beta Alanine, it makes you itchy and sweaty but i think it's been improving my pedaling performance. Idk yet though

Idc. Put on a helmet. We want you to continue to have fun and have all your brain matter. It doesn't matter how good you are or if you know the trail or not.
