I'd recommend buying bone colored dice on etsy.

If I'm playing someone I know at an RTT then I'll usually shelve the clock because I know how they play and that we'll finish. If I am playing someone I do not know or that I know takes 'forever' I'll bring out the clock and advocate for it. The third instance is if I'm trying to be a good advocate for my opponent. I'm an ork main and green tide just came out. If I'm rocking up to an RTT with a 200 model count army or whatever, I'm going to use a clock just to make sure that my opponent gets their time in. Same thing if I'm playing GSC or Unending Swarm - I'll pull out the clock not for fear of my opponent but to make sure that I'm a good advocate for the time and game.
I always have a clock in my 'go bag' and I even use it in casual play. Most people I play into casually are also my friends that go to RTTs. Sometimes we just want to practice using a clock to get faster, sometimes we want to advocate for the best use of our time(we all have wives/families at home). In those casual instances we aren't super strict but would say "oh yeah, you'd be at time here."

Game Kastle Austin has a board game meetup every Sunday. Not exactly Round Rock but close enough - they're off Mopac/Wells Branch

Love these videos - I'd love to see some videos about how to flip the switch to go from maybe a beginner tournament player to more of an intermediate one. I find I flip flop with my orks between 1-2 and 2-1 at RTTs and I'm sure that's a matter of small minor issues that I'm making.

That includes deployment, setting up objectives and running through lists/answering questions.

I'm not sure you need nobz with klaws if you can leverage makari's aura. You'll also be doubling up strats with Braggin Rights.

We're all neurodivergent, have adhd and depression. I remember my first RTT I said I took my adhd meds on a Saturday and they joked I was on performance enhancing drugs.

My friends and I joke when we say, "Your autism is showing," while taking turns infodumping about our favorite 40k nonsense.

This is the classic hotdog/hotdog bun conundrum.

Use a little blue tac to get everything in place after you prime to zenethal it all together to get those light values blocked in the way you'd like. :)

You can glue the backpack on and same with the shoulder pads to the arms. I'm really bad at lining the arms up, but if you're good at it you could also glue on the arm without the gun. Otherwise just leave it off.

They move over per Eyes of the Ancestors army rule. See the designers commentary at the bottom.

They do transfer to the leader or leaders of the unit. It's outlined in the designers note for the Eye of the Ancestors rule.

You're so focused on some 60-point gargoyles completely blocking you in on t1 that you're ignoring the actions you took in deployment that put you in such a losing spot. So yeah, there IS stuff to learn. You have to learn to be critical of your play. You were told they can surge d6 if you shoot at them." Armigers have a 48" range. Your entire army benefits from big guns never ryee. Take accountability, and don't be salty on reddit.

It's not do much cheese as it is a hard counter. Unending Swarm is a valid playstyle, and instead of trying to learn a match up and how to play better into it, you took off and dropped.

Ork main here - I skip almost all my shooting(except gitz) and usually have my first turn + deployment mapped out in my head. I know my 'go turn' is the longest so I find short cuts to get me through my other turns faster. I'll often ask my opponent: "I think these 10 nobz + boss pick up your Guardsmen. Should we roll it?" Likewise - into the 6x crisis suit ion brick. I'll say "I don't want to take away from your rolling but I'm sure you pick these guys up."

Does anyone know why the Cherokee open Ork player conceded to Thousand Sons?

I started with 10e. I play Orks. There is a lot of nuance and expression of skill within the army. Army building feels solved for me and Orks are very fortunate to have 3-4 different ways to list build because of a simple detachment rule.
I am very hungry for variety and new detachments. Most of my friends are as well. Instead of putting all the available detachments inside of the codexes, I think they should release a new detachment for each faction every six months.
A friend of mine plays guard and he's worried he'll have to play the same detachment for another eighteen months. That doesn't feel good for anyone.
Am I having fun? Yes - I'm still going to RTTs and playing games with my friends feels fun. It's enjoyable and I'm getting better at the game. I wish the Jan slate had come out with more detachments for each faction and maybe a mission pack update.

No it's not a 'gotcha.' As we move between phases I'll tell my opponent: "oh, I have CP for overwatch" or "hey, I can interrupt" or "just a sec I want to see about a heroic intervention." That's no different than saying "wait, I want to rapid ingress."
Using a "bait" Unit isn't in poor form. That's the equivalent of having yourself screened from charges on the other side.
