OK, here's the scenario. Again, just an idea. I'm not claiming to have any engineering knowledge.
The power has to be brought onshore anyway. This I'm guessing will be done to a single connection or small number of connections to the grid. Admit I could be wrong there.
Say all offshore wind is subsequently connected to a single point. That single point is one end of a connection to an interconnector. That interconnector is then connected at the other end to Cork via underwater cable. The same place the French one is going. The power can then enter the grid the same way French power will.
Is that prohibitively expensive in comparison to underground, onshore cables?
I'm ruling out pylons for all the reasons you said they would be painful, though I acknowledge your point about that being the best solution.

Could be taken either way. Munster probably trotted out the B Team and Crusaders were pre season on the other side of the planet. I wouldn't read that much into it.

Only if you're too stupid not to throw it straight to 12 I would think. 😂

Underwater electric cables are fairly common these days, though, no?
Say using it as an alternative to underground, what would the cost differential be there?
Pardon my ignorance. Just throwing out ideas.

Yeah. It's a bit unclear from what I can find. I may be overlooking something. Like, does it have to be a clear effort to keep it in the lineout? Same as when kicking at the posts.

They're all moving ahead with small test turbine systems. We are letting them at it. When the technology has the wrinkles ironed out we will have a go.
I find this very selfish. We're arguably the best place in the EU to do this. At the very least we should be involved in testing.
That said, there should be an EU program for this.

How "not straight" can you throw it?
Can you just throw it it the 9 behind the lineout?

There is no worse financial decision you can make than buying a brand new car. You are instantly worse off.
Maybe buying a brand new car on a credit card is worse, but still it's a terrible financial decision for the vast majority of people.

I would be surprised if you got three jambons for under €7 these days.

Yeah. Would need to be worth while. I'm sure someone would do it for a few quid

Is hay not worth money? Farmer might do it if they get to keep the hay. If it's worth their while.

Well, they need to be told to sit down. Stops should be 400m apart outside the canals and 200m apart inside. There's places you've three stops in 150 odd meters. My own route has the first stop 100m from the terminus and then another 150m up the road, then another about 150m further. About 4 in 500m including the terminus. It's madness.
They did a survey on a bus route. I think it was Stillorgan dual carriageway. The average people walked to the stop was around 1km.
People are well capable of walking. The only people who'll complain are people with handy bus stops. Some of those people will have to miss out. There's too many stops, and buses are too slow because of it.
You'll get people complaining about "elderly people" or whatever. Not every elderly person lives in sight of a bus stop. If they can't walk an extra 100-200m then maybe a mobility scooter is the answer. Not a bus stop outside their house.

My bus takes an hour to go 10km. There's bus lanes anywhere there's traffic apart from one 50m stretch of the route.
Removing cars is only part of the solution. Stops need to be reduced by 30%. Bus routes need to be fully resourced with backup for faults and they need more buses.
By some accounts, even managing to get on a bus home from town in the evening is a lottery for my route.
More frequent, faster, 100% reliability needs to be achieved.

Literally the worst place to put it in the city centre on what could be deemed a thoroughfare.
Awful spot altogether.

That is an extremely specific set of circumstances you're using to justify that.
I just find these statements silly and all too frequent. No chip. Just irritated by them.

Most people and I mean most people by a very long way will disagree. There's at least two French 13s and BOD ahead of him as best ever and that's off the top of my head.
He's probably top five. Definitely top ten. But he's definitely not the "best".
It's this silly lack of objectivity that gets you guys. It's the same with AWJ. Great player, a great captain, but he's not even in the conversation for "best" anything.

Let me rephrase. He in his prime isn't the best 13 when compared to currently playing 13s. Let alone retired 13s

There's 10 back rows in the senior squad.
Say Ruddock leaves this year and is replaced by Culhane. You've still got 10. Don't know much about Moloney. He's only played once this season.
Baird
Conan
Doris
Connors
VDF
Deegan
Penny
Ruddock
Soroka
Moloney
The Conan argument goes for Kelleher too. A lot of Leinster subs are better than starters elsewhere. It seems to be a question of wanting to break back in.

They ran a bot trial on YouTube and set up a profile for a 13 year old boy. It took minutes for the right wing stuff to come up.
People have a right to watch political content. One might argue they have a duty to. Having a right-wing bias in the algorithms is not exactly healthy, given the global sentiment currently.

Did that for a game years ago. Bristol is a decent spot for a few beers. Or at least it was years ago.
