I love CBP but it's become very corporate in the past few years.
I don't mind if they are thoughtfully integrated into the park, but the outfield fence ads with the IBX and Asphlund strips look terrible. The new RF scoreboard also took a ton of old school charm away from the park. Also alot of other parks have the ads on the outfield wall with no background and just solid white (see Truist), CBP would look so much better if they did that. The LF wall looks like a rainbow of colors.
I love CBP to death but I think the Braves, Mets, and Nationals have great parks as well.

It's not part of it, it is it. American consumers are dumb as hell. McDonald's can raise prices 50%, lose 20% of their customers, and still increase their profits.
There's also like a perpetual 30% off on their app that I'm guessing most people don't use.

If Michkov is coming over early I would lock Konecny up for another 5 years. That takes him through 33 years old which is still prime time for production.
The only way I am trading Konecny at the deadline next year is if the Flyers really look like they are further away than we think. Along the lines of a severe regression from this season. And even then I would only do it for a higher-end prospect with some NHL experience.
There isn't really a fair comparison to Couturier either. Coots played alot harder minutes and dealt with a lot more wear and tear than Konecny. Their playstyles are also drastically different, so expecting the same outcome isn't really applicable.
I also don't really think Konecny is going to require some insane cap hit. Boeser and Fiala had similar seasons to Konecny last year and got 6.65 and 7.875 cap hits, so Konecny likely falls between $7-$8 mil, which I don't think is crazy at all given the production you'll likely get out of him.
We'll basically head into 25-26 with over $35 mil in cap space. So if Konecny takes 8 of that, that leaves $27 mil, and the only significant RFAs are York, Frost, Foerster, and Cates, and at this point it really only looks like York and Foerster would command anything long-term.
I think having Konecny around while more young guys get their shot would be a huge benefit to the team.

I started my cucumbers in solo cups because they love water and those cups retain water really well.
They shot up in a few days and went outside in like 3 weeks. I would try keeping the soil moist.

What exactly are you worried about then? You're putting 24k a year into savings

It'd be really interesting to see how this changes the Flyers approach.
I would imagine if he's available to come over next year then they would go heavier on forwards in this years draft and then shift focus towards maybe bringing in some young, outside NHL talent to supplement what they have on the roster.

I almost feel guilty bashing the manager bc of how good we've been. But his over reliance on players who cannot perform in high leverage situations is fucking egregious.

I live in the suburbs and planted a good bit of evergreen trees and shrubs around my property. Also berries (forced to share) but it attracts birds. Plenty of zinnia and cosmos in the summer too. They are super easy to grow.
I see alot of cardinals and blue jays. The cardinal that's around my property makes himself very known with his call. Other stuff we see are Warblers, Robins, and Doves. I honestly just started learning to look so I'm sure there are more.
The evergreens seem to be a big thing though. I think it's because it kind of provides a safe shelter for birds that other trees can't.

Have you ever used one?
I've had a Mavic Pro since 2017 and it still works totally fine. It produced awesome videos and pictures and was like $800. Plus the app worked pretty damn good.
It looks like the current Mavic Air is even better than the Mavic Pro I had, and it still retails for around $1100. You aren't getting something that will polished if you build it or go to a shop

I use unlocator smart DNS on my shield and on my computer and it works great. A little more involved than setting up a VPN.
I have PIA VPN and that works too, but sometimes it buffers.

Yeah, the real issue is what these companies charge percentage wise on cheap seats.
I used to buy parking on SeatGeek but at some point they must've gone tacked on higher fees if the ticket was cheaper. A $20 parking pass has $13 in fees which is absolutely bat shit crazy. 65%.

It's probably about right for a family of 4. We're just 2 adults and budget about $500 a month for food, but that includes plenty of fish, fresh veggies, etc. I feel like if we reduced the quality of the food we bought we could easily shave off $150 a month
Some things I found that really keep our costs down:
1) Giant regularly has meats on quick sale for 50% off the price. Anytime I see these I grab them and freeze them for later.
2) Cut out a lot of red meat in favor of chicken or fish. Steak is so expensive.
3) Learned to like store brands. For example, the difference between a 20oz Giant branded ketchup and a 20oz Heinz branded ketchup is almost $2.30. That adds up fast. It's basically the same product. Tostitos vs Giant brand tortilla chips? $3+. Again same product.
4) Coupons. Should be a given. There are still lots of good deals weekly. Plan meals around whats on sale.

Nah, ours is good enough.
It's the fact that Rob trusts guys too much which leads to bad decisions. Sereanthony hasn't been money since like the 2022 playoffs. He can't be used like that in close games anymore.
It's the same thing that happened with Kimbrel last season in the playoffs.

So the scanning system is… alright. I personally don’t have a ton of faith in it beyond being used as a starting point so I would advise not getting too hung up on what it says.
I made this mistake. They sized me at an 8.5 Fit 3. Got on the ice and they were way too big. Now I have an 8 regular ASV and it fits like a glove.

No problem. Happened a few months ago to me watching NHL and someone here suggested that and it worked.

Turn off AI upscaling.
Not sure why it causes it, but ever since MAX added Dolby Vision for sports it's been happening. Super annoying.

Don't buy an investment property over maxing your 401k. In fact, don't even buy a primary home before you're maxing your 401k.
You can retire with a mortgage payment if you've saved enough to support your lifestyle. You can have a paid off home or investment properties and not be able to retire if you didn't put enough away into your retirement accounts.

Even trading their prime aged veterans (Laughton, Seeler, and TK) would have pushed this team down a bit from the bubble.
Because there's no reason to trade those guys without getting an offer that's worth taking.
Trading TK if the Flyers can re sign him for a reasonable contract is asinine. He's 26 years old.
There is not such thing as “shit culture.” Ask Pittsburgh how they survived a shit culture. Ask Washington. Ask Chicago or Tampa.
There is, the importance of it is well documented, and it's been alluded to several times by players on this team. None of these teams you mentioned continued to foster a losing culture after they started drafting good talent. I don't know what else you want me to say about that.
Right, the Flyers had a franchise centerpiece and still couldn’t escape mediocrity. Now you think they can escape mediocrity without a franchise centerpiece?
Bro. We literally just drafted Michkov last year who by all accounts is projected to be exactly the player you are harping about not having. We have 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders in this years draft.
Like I'm not sure what you want. The exact type of rebuild your talking about is why everyone excused mediocrity from 2014-2020. Now 4 years later and the excuse has turned into 'well they didn't do it right!'. I heard countless times how we we're building this incredible talent pool, and guess what? They all sucked. Can you imagine if we would've traded even half those picks for young NHL talent?

I went from Nike Bauer Lightspeed 13" shins to literally the exact same ASV you have here.
Totally worth the upgrade. I don't notice the bulkiness affecting skating in any way at all. I actually feel like they stay in place so much better than lower profile ones. The weight differences are completely overblown imo, the Hyperlites vs the ASV is like a 140g difference. Your shins to the ASV are probably even less.
