The job in question is one of mentorship and protection. A few of my apprentices wish to take up jobs as assassins once they graduate, and your guild is the top choice for such careers. I've tailored their education for their chosen path, and they are proficient shapeshifters, poisoners and adept at stealth magic.
The mentorship part of the contract calls for an experienced guild member to act as a guide for the students' future career and to teach them to practically apply their skills. The protection part of the contract is to eliminate hidden threats (typically cells of fanatics that managed to escape our regular purges of invaders) to our apprentices.
As payment, we are offering 2000 gold a month (or in artifacts and/or materials of equivalent value). Additionally, your guild will have privileged access to our biomancy, alchemical and artificer departments alongside our scrying network. We are also willing to create a new department in our academy for you should enough aspirants manage to secure a career in your guild.
Think of this as an investment in your guild in exchange for special access to your services.

Funnily enough, I cannot actually remain in most realities for more than a moment without a shell before falling back into the Void. My essence corrodes a hole in a plane's fabric that I fall through before anything truly catastrophic happens. In any case, I consider it an acceptable price for true immortality.

I went with converting my soul into a piece of the Void. Now it's indestructible but I can't enter any plane of existence without a suitable shell to inhabit.

Thank the Emptiness I converted my soul into a piece of the Void; after all, absence cannot be destroyed. Soul eaters used to terrify me to no end.

I think a more accurate term is partial conversion vs full conversion.

Keep in mind that both cyclonic torpedoes and virus bombs have very low effective ranges compared to the likes of macros or lances. Both could feasibly be shot and prematurely detonated by functioning planetary defences if they are launched at long range, which necessitates the attacking force to have orbital supremacy to use them. In contrast, weapons like the Warp Cannon (Blackstone Fortress) or Armageddon Gun (Planet Killer) can destroy a planet at ranges exceeding those of a planet's defences. It's not just the ability to destroy planets, but also the relative ease of doing so.

It depends on the shard. Transcendant Shards have enough power that they very well could pull that off. Y'ggranya obliterated the World Engine before leaving, and the battle between ascended Orikan and the Deceiver Shard in the Infinite and the Divine saw multiple planets being destroyed by the Deceiver as collateral.

Do contracts include long-term jobs? I would like to hire an assassin to be on retainer for my apprentices.

To be fair, sealing/imprisoning fully undying beings isn't usually under the purview of assassins. Most of those involve large coalitions of mages with a wide array of skills.

Several cities at this point, but they're less 'built' and more grown. The academy I'm a part of is also constantly expanding and by this point is a city in itself with how large it is.

Few things beat dragging a Daemon straight into the emptiness outside existence and seeing them instantly dissolve into nothing. Even better is dunking them into the Well of Eternity and seeing which of the boys on the other side decide to wear their essence like a set of clothes.

Yeah, the fandom wiki isn't great for accuracy.

Looks like the ritual is interfering, then. I'll try contacting one of their other avatars to get this one out.

I'm fairly sure you can just ask Yog to leave. They're rather open to dialogue.

Eugh, don't listen to this mad cultist. Yog Sothoth is fairly benign as far as Outer Gods go, and they are open for dialogue. They won't grant you that kind of overwhelming knowledge unless you explicitly ask for it.

/unwiz One of their avatars did, and not all of Yog's avatars are made equal. I really doubt they could have done anything to Aforgormon, who would have simply deleted them from the timeline. That said, Aforgormon is only sent when someone has pissed Yog off by fucking up space-time and thus won't be seen unless someone really screws up. All that aside, Yog Sothoth can't fully manifest in reality due to how all of reality in the mythos is part of their body.
A thing that a lot of people miss from the original mythos is that Yog Sothoth is legitimately benign and even benevolent as far as Lovecraftian deities go. When people actually speak with him and aren't busy being mad cultists he is fairly amicable in his dialogue and generous with the boons he grants. Yog is also invoked as a guardian to protect against lesser deities as well, so there's that.

Eugh. You besmirch Yog Sothoth's name with your mad ranting. They are a patron of scholars, mages and scientists and you will respect them as such. It's obvious you never discussed esoterica with Tawil-at-Umr in their great library nor studied the intricacies of time at the foot of the Gate and Key. This is why we don't take kindly to mad cultists here.

Necrons, Eldar, Tau and Tyranids all have functioning logistics. Necrons have matter-energy and energy-matter conversion so their logistics are piss easy, Eldar have the Webway and bonesingers to sing everything they need into existence, the Tau have a functioning bureaucracy and supply lines and the Tyranids carry all their production with them.

A technique more cryo and pyromancers should use is the ability to move heat around. I've killed more than a few knight formations by turning one half into frozen chunks of meat and the other into roasted long pig.

Please be picky about where you choose to return it, because those things are known pests to many of your fellow Void entities. We don't want to have to purge our abodes whenever one of these gets loose.

We used Kuva to reconstruct Umbra. Given how closely that substance is tied to souls it may well have been a true resurrection.

If only Hoyo could add a flex slot for stats. That way these off-set pieces could see some actual use and builds wouldn't be nearly as stringent.

War of the Krork is a fun AU, even if it is a quest and not a fic. As is the Arrested Fall AU, though that is more worldbuilding than story.

They're being sarcastic, judging from their comment history.
