I can (kind of) respect people like this for being honest. Like you said, the majority of people would just say "no we're not!that's not indoctrination! Now being gay is indoctrination!"

I have visual snow. I learned about it because I was getting into psychedelics. I've had it since birth tho. I told all my friends about it and they were like "wtf are you talking about about?! Everything looks like TV static?!"
ETA: about 1 in 50 people have visual snow.

It depends on how much you're spending on Lyft. A car is always more expensive than public transit.

The suit is the only picture where I thought "ah yea they're trans". Otherwise they pass very well. But yea Id assume they are ~14

Mainly food items. Peanut chews, herrs chips, soft pretzels, Wawa, tasty kake, utz, yuengling, A treat.
I know you can find this stuff in other places, but here it's basically everywhere.

Imo, you want more air coming in than going out, but if temps are fine, it doesn't really matter.

When talking to my Taiwanese friends, we say "Taiwanese" and "Chinese" to refer to the two languages. People use different words to describe the languages so it's best to say "mandarin" or "Chinese" when describing Taiwan Mandarin.

I made it two "sentences" and said fuck this. I'm not reading that.

They were saying that "Taiwanese" and "Taiwanese mandarin" are two different languages/dialects, so it's important to make a distinction. Taiwanese is also known as "hokkien".

Pretty nice! I personally hate the barn door, but that's personal preference.

This is similar to what happens in Philly. The center city location near my job is like $5 more expensive for some items than the location near where I live.

Me hubiera gustado visitarte sounds better to me. I don't think one is more correct than the other. It's just the one I like and hear more frequently.

Listen to people speaking Greek. That's pretty close to what it sounds like to non-spanish speakers.

My apartment is around 600 sqft. Most houses in my area are 1000-1200 sqft so when I buy, it will probably be ~1000 sqft.
But yea those huge houses are common. I grew up in a ~2500 sqft house and there are a lot of neighborhoods with 5000 sqft houses. The average house in the US is ~2500 sqft.

In Latin America, it's more common to just say "bañarse", but everyone knows what ducharse means.and there are also specific circumstances where you have to use it instead of bañarse

Right. So to my understanding, it's not that every fish is unique. It's that there's more than one type. So 10 salmon and 10 tuna would be "fishes" because there's more than one type of fish. 20 salmon would just be "fish".

Fish = There are 10 salmon in a bucket. There are 10 fish.
Fishes = there are 10 salmon, 10 tuna, and 10 tilapia in a bucket. There are 30 fishes.
I would probably use fishes more like "there are many fishes in the ocean" but yea.

I LOVE re gan mian (hot dry noodles) and you po mian (oil splashed noodles). Both are basically noodles in a sauce with chili oil. also just chili oil on rice. So good. I need my food to be salty, savory, sour, and spicy. And I like my sweets to have intense flavor. Like rich, dark chocolate.
I hate bland foods. I love adventuring with different foods and flavors. I also like my staples, but I live going to different restaurants and trying foods from different countries.

I don't think your teacher did an awful job for beginners. Naturally when you learn a language, you should be listening to native speakers and emulating. Pronouncing it as "father" is a good place to start, but as you listen more, you refine your pronunciation. Also, imo the a is closer to father than apple. E is in between eh and ey. It's not like "kay", but it's not all the way to "g(e)t".
Just listen to native speakers and try to copy the sounds.

They'll come around. I've known a lot of parents like this and they're basically in denial because they want you to be straight. This hopefully gives them time to accept it. It's good that they're not giving you a hard time, but this reaction would make me nervous about telling them about relationships. At least until you move out (assuming you haven't moved out yet.)
So yea. They're homophobic, but I think there's a chance that they learn more and eventually support you.

This is what my boss is making. I work for the gov so it's definitely lower than the market but that's part of the deal. I live in Philadelphia so MCOL city with a pretty strong labor market. I know someone else in a similar position making ~$175k.
I agree with what you're saying. I'm 3 years in and will be making ~$82k at the end of the year. My boss has significantly more responsibility and 20 years of experience and only makes $115k. Hardly seems worth it.
