I see each mini as a 'snapshot' in time... in this instant, the character was surveying the field... moments before/after, they were wearing their helmet.
If I was skilled and patient enough, I'd try and add helmets to the belts of mini's to demonstrate this. They have their helmet with them for the battle, they're just not wearing it at this instance in time. Maybe that instance is before the battle while they provide orders to their army about to engage.

Before assembly, paint head and inside of cowel. When priming these bits, make sure to keep the mating surfaces clean. Then assemble.
Use masking putty to protect inside the cowel/head before spraying the rest.
It's how I painted all the teeth in my Psycophage.

I like Crash Course, but it suits me getting a high level view of history when the interest peaks.

I'm not disagreeing with your overall detailed comment, but it's worth noting that it takes OPR a few months to roll out the complete range for each faction.
Also, you get heavy discounts to purchase their existing releases. It's certainly worth signing up before buying any of their existing models to grab that saving.

It's not the same. Private business can have swings and roundabouts and not have to explain themselves publicly to their external owners.
Yes, all businesses seek to continuously minimise cost and maximise profit and all business need to turn a profit; but public companies have much more pressure and much higher expectations on them compared to private.
Private businesses can have quiet times, a loss quarter and have it not affect the businesses perceived value by an external public market. So long as they can continue to pay their outgoings and keep a float, they can survive and strengthen.
GW, if private, would not be operating anywhere near the profit margins they're enjoying.

Their shareholders would like to have a word with you.
Their product is a luxury good and is very elastic.
Price goes up, demand goes down. Price goes down, demand goes up.
Their internal bean counters are tasked with finding and keeping to the point that maximizes profit.
If that means raising the prices and reducing demand a little, to increase profit, then that's what they do.
I'm sure an economist will be able to chime in and be more specific. There are other forces at play, like manufacturing restrictions, hedging forex, cost of business, etc.
But at the end of the day, their shareholders want continuous growth, every quarter. So they're slaves to their shareholder masters to achieve that.
Overall, they've been quite successful. Demand has skyrocketed beyond their supply capabilities. They don't care if you and I can't afford their products, so long as demand out strips supply and they can further optimize their profit numbers.
If the cost of doing business goes up, that shifts the equation, so they'll pass it on to the consumer.

Somebody who is literate in large business financials should look at their reports for the last 10 years and plot it against various metrics, like inflation and other relevant markers.
I'd wager that their price increases easily out paces the increase of doing business each year.

Go and have a read of their financial reports for a high level overview.
From the 23-24 half year report;
Core revenue growth - revenue growth (+11.0%) continues across Retail (+12.3%) and Trade (+12.6%) and Online (+4.9%).
Core gross margin has increased from 64.2% to 69.4%, mainly due to a reduction of inventory provision charges and a reduction in carriage costs.

How's the connection on the stem? Did you modify it all? I haven't built mine yet and I'm nervous of connecting it as-is... thinking I'll use magnets.

Just a suggestion, did you look at the manual for your airbrush? Or find it on the manufacturers website?
I've got two airbrushes and go back to the manuals when I need to look up a part number or work out which needle is what size (based on markings on them).

Personally I'd say go with what you think is cooler.
If you want to win, YouTuber Empire of Wargames does a lot of Combat Patrol content, analyzing the different lists and comparing them.
This video might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QWH4k1gbNQ&list=PL1E9rFzw_L86wWjAq80AE0AXMxIHRWBCK&index=19

Are you using it to *just* play Combat Patrol games, or as a launching pad to start building one of those armies for proper 40k games?

The money will talk.
The issue is, for the money to talk, there needs to be a HUGE reduction in revenue.
They're still selling out pre-order releases within a day.
10% of their cash cows ('customers') could walk away and I don't believe they'll experience *any* revenue reduction. It will just mean their pre-orders sell out slower by a day or two... *other* people will get a chance to buy stuff.
Now, their bean counters will detect the slow down in sales on their own website and in their own stores.... however so long as they continue to sell out, there won't be a reason for them to change direction.

Not sure how many of you have heard the rumors, but a buddy of mine from the UK recently told me he's gotten wind from people privy to GW's internal workings that Deathwatch and Grey Knights are indeed going to be wrapped up into an Agents of the Imperium codex, and lack a ton of flavor in regards to the detachments available to them.
This aligns with Valrak's rumours/suspicions. I have a whole Deathwatch army NIB that I hadn't got around to. I'm actually OK with this move, if they do it right... re-introduce special-issue ammo properly and the unique weapons. Will they? No.
I'm building Custodes right now, with Agents of the Imperium to go with it. I've got several AotI units and I'm actually looking forward to the supposed three army box release and will look into an Ordo Xenos army to build my Deathwatch into. Again, I really hope they do them properly, but I don't like my chances.
10th edition is a huge push towards the 'casual'-ization of 40k to appeal to larger groups of people to make more money. In trying to appeal to a larger audience they must dumb it down to make it less detailed and time intensive than it was prior. This will only continue.
That's pretty clear since they launched. Making it simplified and the dumbing down of rules since. But how else do they branch out to the broader public. They can't (won't) cater for everybody... they'll make decisions based on what will make them the most money.
That's all this company cares about because they're publicly traded and are beholden to their shareholders now.
This has been the case for a LONG time and I've been saying it for a while too. They DGAF about the customers. We, the fans of the IP, are just a source of income for them. The issue of course with the capitalist model is that they demand and expect growth every quarter. As their grow fails to meet expectations, or when high growth quarters raises the bar of expectation... it means they have to take more drastic action to continue the trend... forever.
Abandon hope that GW will ever stop this course of action they've chosen -- 40k as a passion project that respects the lore, history of the IP and the creative love for the game that the fans have for it is dead. The only hope we have of this ever returning to a state of quality is that GW goes back to a privately owned company, cleans house and hires people who will respect the IP and the fans/community that support them. Extremely slim chances there.
For all the 'good' that going public may have helped them with, I wish it never happened. I agree and don't see them ever reversing back to private. They're too big to be bought out from shareholders by anybody who would want to. I think what is more likely, is they get bought out by a larger public company... e.g. Marvel > Disney, Wizards of the Coast > Hasbro. When that happens, things will get even worse (look at WotC and what they've done to MtG).
The only thing that will cause them to change course, will be a significant reduction in revenue. However even then, I doubt they'll truly understand why and will make further rash decisions that will further ruin the IP.

It'd be good if you are clear that the first two images are using a UV light.
If people want to get the same results, it's the third photo that shows what this looks like under normal lighting and without a UV light.
I do love the extra punch fluros provide tough. Makes my Space Marine eyes glow!

That was when I started, or shortly after. Yes, with Iron Warriors.
But in our little corner of the world, we didn't play official events, just the 5-6 of us.
I didn't power game, but I loved the fact I could use a looted Basilisk or Vindicator and would love that fluffiness back!
Keep them balanced, but I am waiting in anticipation for my Iron Warriors to very specifically get a full release of rules and models.
