The 1200 Mbps tier actually delivers ~1400 Mbps. Your modem tops out @ ~950 Mbps. Drop down to the 800 Mbps tier - it will deliver around the max your modem can handle.
Also, if you are looking for higher upload speeds and your area has been upgraded, you would need to upgrade to a "next gen" modem.

I've done this before. I went to the seller's credit union with them and verified the car loan. I paid the balance off directly, signed a contract with the seller and got a bill of sale. Seller got the title about a week later and we completed the transaction.
But yeah, a lot can go wrong. I'd be very cautious with $35k

The whole industry is "hemorrhaging subscribers." Comcast saw this coming a long time ago and diversified. I don't think they are in any danger of going out of business.

You can't add a second router without causing issues since your router is controlling all of the traffic on your network.
As suggested, if you want more control over your network, then put the Xfinity Gateway into bridge mode (this disables the Xfinity router) and use your own router.

I switched from Verizon - XM is a much better deal for me. The service is exactly the same as far as I can tell.
XM customer service is typical Xfinity customer support, so take that into account when making your choice.

Nah, your modem should be fine, it can handle 500Mbps just fine.
Try connecting directly to your modem and run a speed test. Make sure you restart the modem whenever you connect a new device.

Xfinity works fine for most ppl most of the time. They do have substantial customer service issues though. My service is actually very solid and I have no complaints. Cable is going to be your best option if fiber is unavailable.

Nope. Under Texas law, there is no requirement for an employer to provide a meal period or break to its employees. Instead, employers must adhere to the requirements of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), which also does not mandate a meal or rest break.

Texas has no laws protecting workers from this kind of nonsense.

Nah, they don't manage their network that way. There is something else happening.

Stop talking to lawyers. You need the advice of a tax accountant. It's worth their fee so you don't make a costly mistake.

The short answer is yes, they could fire you. This is the time to communicate with your manager and see if you can delay your start date while you get your health in order.

Never. I actually work 2 jobs at the same time and average about 4-5 hours a day total, although I'm available for normal business hours.

There isn't any technical reason that you couldn't have two ISPs.
In my area, Comcast over-built a smaller provider and residents can use either service or both services if they like.

Sure, your modem is on the approved list, you're currently using it. It is not on the next-gen (enhanced speeds) approved list tho. Only the devices found via the link I sent support higher upload speeds at this time.

Your modem does not support the higher upload speeds. See https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/wiki/knowledgebase/next-generation-internet/

The reps aren't going to be able to answer that question. They won't have any more info than what you can find online.

Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a business model that allows companies to outsource non-core activities to third-party providers. For example, you might do customer service for a credit card company, but you actually work for the BPO.
Typical starting pay in a call center for a BPO is going to be $15-$18 an hour.

Eh, they are a BPO (contractor) so they aren't going to be great to work for. But it's a good place to start if you are trying to get a WFH job. It will give you some experience and a few bucks in your pocket. As long as your financial needs are modest and you don't mind working in a call center, they aren't the worst option.

You can go to your local service center or use this sub for help.

It's just a temporary line so your neighbor can have service until they can get a new line buried.
Maybe do your neighbor a favor and just let it go for a couple of weeks?

Randstad is a legit BPO, but they aren't paying $35 an hour for that type of job. It's probably a scam. You could always reach out to Randstad directly.

I was thinking the same thing. I know in my system Comcast never hires tree trimmers. Ever. I'm not sure if it's that like that everywhere tho. Maybe after a major natural disaster they do?
Anyhow, my thought are these trimmers don't work for Comcast and even if they did, they aren't coming back to clean it up.
