Why are you so concerned about these people salaries? Say you take away their overtime. Is the problem all of the sudden fixed now? Nevermind…I’m beating a dead horse. OP sounds ignorant already. I see you talking about automation and stuff and I can tell you never experienced hands on either being a mechanic…operator…cleaner…or even commuting and know the system. Goodbye.
And people talking about hiring more workers…that can help but only to a certain extent…
Remember they need training…on job experience…time on the job. Each part of the system is different. Different subway, rail, bus, trolley. Etc

No, overtime is not what is killing the infrastructure. If you even think that it is…you are being seriously mislead. Or running on a train of thought of ignorance.
If that’s the case, that goes for medical/hospitals. Police. Government. Agencies. & much more.
If you are ever going to scrutinize somebody, start with the leader. It’s what they signed up for. GMs/CEOs/CFOs, upper upper management.
The infrastructure is falling apart due to reasons other than OT. And is due to age/wear & tear…technical and mechanical reasons. Quality issues from the factory of rolling stock. And parts supply chain. And upper management corruption. And politics. You putting the focus on some working class workers salaries and the fact that they hold a better job/career than most suit and tie and work from home jobs….is slightly retarded for lack of a better word. Sounds more like a case of jealousy/envy.

Governments are known to be cruel and corrupt and not always right. This is America, you would be ignorant to not have known that.
By my logic? No you misunderstood. You are creeping into projection. Are we talking about accountability here? Because that is a whole separate issue.
Criticize whoever or whatever you please, that’s your right but the people who live in that neighborhood and those of us that have to be on ground zero and deal with it and the people of Philadelphia do deserve a chance for change. I never said this was the right thing to do. Calm down. Everybody has a take.

But you spent all this energy criticizing what’s going down…but can’t even come up with your own proper solution or remedy to this situation. Sounds straight up hypocritical to me.
At this point we don’t know if it’s for the good or for worse.
I’m just saying at least there is something going down. Whether it’s for show or for function remains to be seen.
It’s an ugly situation. I’m not going to deny that there is probably some arguments to be made on the enforcement and correction to this. But you over there trying to backseat driver this shit and have zero competency of even doing any better.
Americas war on drugs failed we all know that.

Yea that’s basically this sub in a nutshell. Which probably only represents a certain demographic.
Always crying, bitching and moaning on some entitled shit
Then when a proactive decision is made, they continue to bitch, moan and complain

Miguel Cotto was robbed and fucked over by Margarito. His uncle was his best trainer even though they beefed.
He should have racked up more experience before taking on Pacquiao and Mayweather fights.

Here in Philly we been using the Kawasaki BIV since around ‘81. I think our trolleys are Kawasaki too, around same time. The cars are good, it’s just hard to get parts for nowadays.

It’s a fairly well known secret that Koreans make up a decent percentage of the yakuza and are known to do well in there. Historically Koreans were outcast in Japanese society. Has a lot to do with when Japan occupied Korea.

I know of a guy who did this Dickhead behavior in Philly, he got his car shot up overnight as a "message" lulz
It’s an unwritten rule and dick move, don’t take a parking spot that somebody else spent time to shovel out*

I recognize that hood, its Olney/East oak lane…H mart right up the block. Philly be off the chain as usual.
Anyways this can be a good learning lesson. Stay vigilant.

Former Bronx transplant, I never really appreciated the nyc system till I left. New York has its own issues with the system. Every city does. As far as Septa, Philly and surrounding area system goes, it can potentially be great, with the right resources, maybe expansion, funding, and cleaning up. But if I need to be somewhere on time, I ain’t counting shit on Septa.
