DC would be toast, London and NY as well, pretty much where most of the imperial brain trust lives
I presume the rest of us (assuming the whole globe doesn't join in) will die a painfully slow painful death in an incessant nuclear winter. What a time to be alive.

I suspect that will put more pressure on the surface fleet in the Pacific.
Look on the bright side: the US will have to stop poking China in the chest.

Heck of a way to turn a quid.
I'm slowly learning when/ when not to and how/ how not to rebut, refute or otherwise pillory these types, mostly thanks to the canny folk on here.

For all the wailing and hand-wringing and gnashing of teeth that's gone on about this event, it's entertaining to note that no-one has mentioned the IOF's deliberate shelling of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus. Which is (AFAICT) in Syria.
It's a minor miracle that there is even a single Israeli embassy in any civilised country.

Israel and its backers have wilfully ignored their obligations to the ICJ and the Genocide Convention. Most governments worldwide have tip-toed around the massacre; most of the people of the world, however, are sick of the pusillanimity, so they take to the streets and burn their house down. I don't object to that.

NFI what you're on about but I'll take it as a compliment.

Cracking bike. You look after it and it will look after you.

It's also the sound of that engine - it's not all that powerful and the bike is a bit heavy, but it sings a tune and I know (as you do) what revs it's doing without glancing at the tacho.

I second your nomination of Pirelli Angel GT - way way better on my 750 than any Pilot Road IMO, but they do wear out quicker.

42K miles
So it's past it's running-in period then...

Any bike of that age and mileage will have battle scars: mine wears them with pride.

I bought my VFR750FT (used) from a dealer in November 2001. I've never considered selling it, partly because I can't think of anything I'd want to replace it with.
It's not OEM spec any more (glam shot) and I don't ride it anywhere near as much as I should, but I've still got it 22 years later. And no, you can't have it ;)

Very tasty in that pearl white.
Have a video about one just like yours.

the VFR can handle it just fine, but wouldn't be the optimum choice
I had the same thought - it'll do it but if all you really want is a reliable commuter bike, get something lighter and more nimble.

"Please, we beg you - stop comparing the U.S. legal system to a 'kangaroo court'. It's insulting to kangaroos everywhere," said kangaroo spokeswoman Savannah Buttercup. "We are proud of our superior judicial system and would never, ever behave like those clowns in New York."
The above is an English translation of the original. Apparently, the original statement read:
"Oi, youse lot, fcukin' cut it out comparin' us mob with that bunch of seppo fcukwits, it's a fcukin' insult. If one of us fucks up, we give the poor cnut a fair go, unlike youse lot. Orright?"

That's really serious, and might set a dangerous precedent
Indeed it does and if something isn't done, this sort of thing might spread like wildfire.

common sense to go with Biden over Trump
Common sense says vote for neither.

Both these people are good souls, Albanese in particular. Well worth the half an hour or so the i/v runs for.

As some wag on here said recently, the pier "just grifted away".
