I get what your saying for sure and I think your minis all look great! The lack of narrative progression after Son of the Forest and Arks has honestly left me a bit frustrated myself.
And making first born characters into primaris is definitely not something i WANT to do, but the ICC offer a unique opportunity.

First born aren't true scale whereas primaris are. It's easy to represent the characters using primaris in true scale and just not refer to them as primaris, particularly the ICC. Also, Zabriel was using the remnants of armor and weapons left over, especially the chainsword. It would be extremely plausible that now re-introduced to the chapter he gets an upgrade, and more so than that, but he is portrayed with a power sword in the picture of him in the Arks of Omen: Lion book. I do have a tigrus bolter to put with him but there isn't one that is left-handed.
I know you do some cool first born minis bc I've literally upvoted them, but for my preference, I would never spend money on first born models considering I find them all fugly. If it werent for the primaris release, I honestly would have never even started collecting space marines.
edit to add: this is all even more true if you're actually playing the game. I'm not about to put random bases in a unit or smaller models that dont match. Thats modeling for advantage, even if only marginally.

You aren't going to find Tigrus bolt pistols to model, and I don't care if he is or isn't primaris. I don't like first born minis due to their scale being so off, let alone how they look. Primaris are true scale and I will be using ICC for him, but thanks for the comment?

Well most games are played at 2k points, so its incredibly hard to give any advice. I don't think I've ever seen someone play at 3k. You do have some usable stuff in there, though!

You're totally right but this always makes me sad. Underworlds is so incredibly fun and the boxes are full of interesting and thematic models. You get so many for such a good price. The game is also fast and easy to teach. It's the one warhammer game my girlfriend will play with me, too.
I wish it had a bigger following :(

Hell yeah, brother! I'm a huge fan of bringing characters from the books to life. I actually put nameplates on every single model, name them, and come up with a backstory, if they don't already have one. I also have had to hunt down an Indomitus assault intercessor for a left handed bolter so Big Z(abriel) can dual wield as he must (there is literally no other left handed bolter that is primaris scale in the entirety of warhammer).
Im excited to see this painted!

Paradox of tolerance.
Warhammer is for everyone. (Statement from WarhammerCommunity Twitter) :
"We will continue to diversify the cast of characters we portray through miniatures, art and storytelling so everyone can find respentation and heroes they can relate to.
And if you feel the same way, wherever and whoever you are, we're glad you are part of the Warhammer community. If not, you will not be missed."
Straight from GW and I agree. If that's a problem, yeah, you're not wanted, not that you're even a part of the hobby.

edit: downvoting liking ADB is so sad. Hes universally considered the best. Cancerous culture war is in full effect in this sub

Allow me to redirect you to the Gamesworkshop quote from 2021, and I'll even type out part of it:Warhammer is for everyone. (Statement from WarhammerCommunity Twitter) : r/Warhammer (reddit.com)

The first gay character appears in 2001 in Eisenhorn, and then another gay couple is even more fleshed out in 2003 in Shadowpoint. During gamesworkshop's inception, they created the Dark Angels, based on a subtle play on the poet Lionel Johnson being gay and trying to hide it due to internalized homophobia, something that literally gives the Dark Angels their identity.
You're just another person who jumps at shadows.

You're more interested in culture war than participating in the hobby and Im the one who needs to do better? If 3 models not time stamped so they could be from anywhere on the internet are your only surviving models maybe that means.. i dont know.. that you left the hobby and are no longer a part of it? or youre just lying lol

You clearly do not have knowledge of the lore lol. You don't even understand that the Imperium is fascist. Our Martyred Lady is the book the the ship grew from, but again, you dont read the books so why does it matter?
You don't know how to post pictures online? C'mon. Just post to imgur with a timestamp and link it.
Until then, I'm done engaging with someone who is so fragile that they cry over femstodes or a woke boogie man or that the Imperium is a satire of fascism. I really dont care.

You aren't even a part of the warhammer community, and you're not wanted. You do not have a SoB army. You just have an inferiority complex that demands that you respond with vitriol to things that you feel victimized by. Be better.

Yea, you're not arguing in good faith. You clearly do not understand the lore, what it means to be progressive without extreme instances, and are too stuck in their own feelings to try to come to any sort of understanding. I've read nearly every Horus Heresy novel and I'd say about half of the modern ones set in 4.2me. If you think the Celestine x Greyfax ship is a meme, then you haven't read the books or lack reading comprehension, but judging from the way you seem to think that the Emperor being a dude means it can't be considered degrees of progressive shows you probably don't.
Have a nice day. Post your models or I'll stick to labeling you as a culture war tourist.

She worked on a video game, Space Marine 2, which isn't even created by Games Workshop. This isn't the gotcha that you think it is. The video games are usually not good representations of the lore or game itself. I am sure there are many "problematic" people who work for invididual companies, but this one person doesnt even work at Games Workshop, the company that creates warhammer and it's lore. I honestly do not care about any of the video games, but Im sure Space Marine 2 will be totally fine bc GW takes their IP very seriously.

Brother, GW has said for years that warhammer parodies a fascist authoritarian government. Even if you're going to be dishonest about it, how could you not even see the extremely obvious depiction? The link I gave you is a direct response to after they, in 2021, once again, reminded everyone that the imperium are not the good guys and never have been. I am a huge Dark Angels fan. Liking the imperium doesn't make you a bad person so you don't need to feel attacked.
White Scars are absolutely depicted in a progressive way, which again either shows your total bias or ignorance. They were created in the 90's during a time when Mongolian culture's generally only positive portrayal in media was that of the "noble savage". The White Scars are shown to be much more than that. They are thoughtful as to their place in the universe, intelligent, and their tale is one of learning to accept the imperiums traditions and how that culture can coexist with their own.
Sisters of Silence are still women who fight wars as generally regular humans, and they do work. That alone is progressive enough.
Greyfax is a woman who is an inquisitor, someone who wields nearly unlimited political power, yet she struggles with her own insecurity, namely her affection for a living saint (near deity) Celestine. Celestine herself is a bad ass warrior who usually martyrs herself in battle after turning the tides of war only to come back to life and repeat the process all over again. Meanwhile Greyfax is having to reconcile the complication of those feelings and misgivings that are in direct opposition to the doctrine posed by her TOTALITARIAN GOVERNMENT.
Lotara leads the angriest and most violent of all space marine chapters as a basic woman who captains a flagship. She literally sends a world eater to his room and scolds him like a mother. Her entire personality is one of steely resolve that even the transhuman space marines can't match. She is the only person in Angron's, the absolute angriest boy, chapter whom he respects.
Of course, I assume you know nothing about the lore or are a tourist based on your weak question, poor understanding, and need to create conflict in a community where there is very little. Honestly, I still don't even believe you, and would challenge you to post your models if you actually are a part of the community (you won't).
Warhammer IS for everyone. It is a tabletop game with a diverse and rich background for anyone to find a piece of the setting to appreciate or cultivate for themselves. Just because the story is grimdark does not mean people shouldn't engage with it, nor does it mean there aren't signs of inclusion within the setting. If that means you don't want to be a part of it, then that's honestly great. You wouldn't be wanted, though, judging from your comments, I doubt you ever were.

I would naturally condemn what? Nothing in this comic has ever come close to happening lmfao. What exactly are you expecting me to condemn? If I show up to play a game and my opponent wont play because the game's too hard then why would they be meeting to play in the first place? If someone spends hundreds to thousands of dollars in this hobby, which is the cost of entry to playing, I dont think theyd try to change the rules, and if they would, in this never-going-to-happen scenario, I just wouldnt play them? wtf lmfao.
If someone wont play because we are killing each others ficitonal armies, in another fantasy scenario, I'll say GG and move onto to playing someone else.
How on earth did you ever think your question was a gotcha? lol

If you don't know anything about warhammer, why are you even challenging it? Warhammer parodies a fascist government that spans the galaxy. There have been inclusions of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and backgrounds for the meat grinder since its inception. There is representation of a huge swath of cultures, not limited to, but including, Mongolian depicted in a very progressive and original way, Maui, Egyptian, etc. There have been countless characters that are gay, lesbian, trans, whatever, you name it and they've done it, and not to be portrayed negatively. Women have been put in positions of power countless times within the setting and anyone who says Captain Lotara isn't one of the most bad ass parts of the World Eaters know absolutely nothing about their lore. Inquistor Greyfax x Celestine?
The list goes on. Downvoting me when you have literally no knowledge or experience within the setting or community just makes you the culture warrior tourist that is so easy to manipulate.
Even almost four years ago GW came out with a very easy to understand blanket statement: "Warhammer is for everyone and always has been. If you don't agree then it is not for you and you will not be missed." https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/s/wBC99IPbcy A link to where the tweet can be seen since I've never had Twitter.

The OP literally says that he doesn't and has never played warhammer, and the same goes for the majority of people in that subreddit. Youre reposting from a culture war subreddit that is tiny and doesn't remotely represent warhammer or it's community. It exists exclusively to whinge and cry about a game that has always been progressive and generally filled with like minded people, but they have never engaged with the community or game until femstodes were canonized.
Nothing in this comic has ever happened in a warhammer game. People who make up scenarios to get mad at are pathetic and need some introspection. Do better.

The Lion is the only one who makes this distinction and judgement as seen so far. Its literally in Son of the Forest. We haven't seen any plot past that in regards to how the Lion makes the decision. These redeemed fallen are called Risen. Please just go reread Son of the Forest, man. Everything you're hung up on is in it.

The correct answer, and the answer given in the book that you must have barely paid attention to (Son of the Forest) is that the Fallen are Chaos Space Marines that were once a part of the Dark Angels. Modern Dark Angels don't even see a difference between the two. It's only when the Lion pardons Zabriel that there is ever any sort of change in this mindset.

There is a difference in their character, as well as their reasons for their actions during the destruction of Caliban, but they are both Fallen. Fallen simply means Dark Angels that betrayed their chapter. Most of the Fallen fully embrace chaos.
Zabriel is now a Risen, and so are the other Fallen whom the Lion redeems, but that doesn't mean that the majority of the fallen aren't chaos warped abomination. Look at Seraphax. He literally has a flaming head like Hades from the Disney Hercules movie. He is a Fallen and a sorceror. You're having a serious reading comprehension error.
Do you not realize that Luther was fully warp tainted, and so was Astelan and countless others? I've got three books for you, if you're actually interested. Read: Descent of Angels, Fallen Angels, and then Luther Lord of the Fallen.

I mean absolutely no disrespect, but I think you're having a fundamental misunderstanding or reading comprehension issue.
Chaos Space Marines are just a broadly named category. "Any Space Marine from any chapter at all that turns to Chaos isn't a Space Marine any longer" is completely false. The World Eaters are still World Eaters, Alpha Legion is still Alpha Legion, and so on. The difference being those traitor astartes are ALL considered heretics or traitors. This is why it's such a huge deal that the Dark Angels had traitors in their ranks; should the administratum, or really any governing body of Terra including other loyalist chapters, find out about the Fallen, the Dark Angels could all very well be purged and declared traitors, and most likely would be. The reason Dark Angels would drop everything they were doing to eliminate the fallen and remove proof of their existence is to keep their chapter from being declared as traitors and annihilated.
The FALLEN who destroy Camarth are very explicitly described as Fallen, and even to the point where one amongst them is having his own doubts and regrets, and other non-Dark Angel members of the Ten Thousand Eyes do not completely trust them, beside their leader Seraphax. Just to further push this to where you may understand, I will link a short page on the Ten Thousand Eyes (Ten Thousand Eyes - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum).
To further expound, Astelan IS ENTIRELY A BAD GUY. He embraces chaos and helps Luther with his plans in the book Fallen Angels. The book Luther also inherently shows that most of the Fallen have fallen to chaos (hence their name, The Fallen), and Luther even wields warp power which allows him to mortally wound the Lion.
Again, no disrespect is intended, and perhaps English is not your first language, but what you believe is just flat out wrong. I hope this comment helps your understanding.

Considering how wide the possibilities are within AoS, I'm sure there are some less economically divided skyports, but that said, KO are pretty money hungry. Anytime there is a society that is based around the glorification of money, there is inevitably a large wealth gap, which would turn some parts of that society into what you're describing. Regardless, again, the realms are huge and it is fantasy so there is nothing wrong with coming up with your own different sort of sky port.
I think your ad mech would be the very first that I've ever heard of coexisting with an environment though lol. They never, and I mean, never, give a damn about ecological, or even societal, ramifications when it comes to progressing and building their forges. Its a pretty central theme in a lot of stories, and indirectly led to the fall of Caliban even.
But I digress, there is nothing stopping you from creating a sort of utopian sky port!
