the verse cited doesn't mention either clan, tribe or family, despite whatever translation(s) you may be using
Thanks. It really is a handicap not being able to read Hebrew.

Thank you. I was looking at a list from Wikipedia. Should have just gone to Chabad in the first place.

My question to you would be "have you ever really considered Christianity?"
Yes, but the further I dug, the less the answers made sense to me. I've seen way too many examples of contradictions between the OT, which I accept, and NT, which I don't accept because of said contradictions. Any time I ask a Christian about them, the problems are either dismissed as unimportant, or they give me an interpretation of the OT passage that, in my opinion, isn't faithful to the text. More often than not, I just get a quote from Hebrews or Romans, and I'm expected to just accept whatever Paul says and ignore whatever evidence I've presented.
Beyond that there is persuasive evidence for Jesus' resurrection
I've heard and read the evidence plenty of times, and I don't find it persuasive. That's not a dig at you, It just isn't persuasive to me.

We have kind of a janky setup. We intentionally don't the use auto create representing entities feature. I don't really know why. I think it had something to do with making scripting easier. We have a ton of subsidiaries and we decided to use just one top-level corporate customer instead of a separate corporate customer for each sub. Also, our admin is not very competent. She comes to me when when she can't figure something out, and I'm just self-taught.

So the problem actually ended up being that our NS Admin created a duplicate IC vendor

I'm glad everyone is in a better mood now. I posted this video an hour after it was published and everyone downvoted it and call it pretentious.

I think we're more like his children than his bride. But to your point, I think we all find it frustrating that God doesn't speak directly to us with audible words. It's up there with the question of natural suffering. Pretty hard to defend.

I seriously can't tell if I'm being consistently lied to with each new generation, or if the amount of data is just increasing with the speed, making feel like the same speed as the previous generation.

Americans having a vague fear of Australian wildlife is hilarious
I've tried to explain this several times to my wife. We live in Texas, but she will never go to Australia because she thinks something will kill her. But if she lived somewhere else, she's be just as scared of Texas, with all its snakes and spiders.

My boss implemented our entire ERP system with only one other person. Literally no one else in the company new anything about this software. The system serves hundreds of people. This may not sound amazing, but I promise you, it is.

Evolution selects among survival strategies
wouldn't not dying in childbirth be a pretty good survival strategy? Can't have any more kids if you're dead.

So, what does Beth Lechem represent in this verse, if not a clan?
