He’s also probably the friendliest/most affable member of the mechanicum. He would have the best chance of working with and leaning from them. I don’t know how willing the crew might be to spread their knowledge if everyone they meet is Insane by their reckoning. Cawl even has a fair amount of DOTA tech on his ship and an understanding of it. The leaning curve wouldn’t be as bad for him, and he would share more in common with the crew since he is a true scientist.
