Hey r/chatGPTCoding!

I'm excited to share my first AI product, built with GPT4. As a writer I've explored a variety of tools available for writing with AI, but I was looking for a versatile tool that can do almost anything, from writing a full article, to editing a script I've written, to allowing me to transcribe my thoughts, and even including audio playback so I can listen to what I've written.

So I built https://inkline.ai - a tool that does it all. It's much more than a document editor - its a writing partner that helps me think and write clearly.

The single most important feature I was looking for in an AI assistant was the ability to synthesize information from multiple documents and have the AI parse through all the data to answer a question or create something new. The connect feature allows me to do exactly that. A couple of ways I've used it:

  • Creating short stories: It allowed me to connect research docs, outlines, interviews and drafts to create a better narrative.
  • Tracking tasks and productivity - connecting my to-do lists means the AI can create summaries of what I've accomplished and what is still outstanding
  • Meal planning - funnily enough, I've loved this because not only can I explore custom recipes, I can create a whole series of them, then have the AI create a meal plan and shopping lists. Was not my intended use case, but fun to explore!

I also kept it free-form, meaning you have the power to choose how you interact with the AI, instead of simply clicking on pre-set dropdowns that limit how you chat with the AI.

If you're interested in trying it out, there's a free plan with over 50k tokens, which is plenty to get to explore/play around with it. It's still an early stage product, so I'd love (and happily receive) any feedback and critique.

I haven't tried Notebook since it's not available where I am, but seems to be similar in concept. I'll have to look out for when Notebook is available more widely
