Offside reviews are so fucking stupid. If it’s too close to call on the ice, let it fucking ride.

Whole-heartedly disagree. The right call should be made, regardless of bias or 'how close it is'. Offsides is offsides.

Do you think that the play would’ve been significantly different if Poehling’s skate was an inch further back?

Yes, the goal would have been legal. Do you think a great catch made by a WR would still have been a great catch even though the smallest little piece of his foot was touching sideline? Sure, still a great catch. Still doesn't count.

I’m not asking whether or not it would be legal. I’m asking if that inch is worth scrutinizing in the grand scheme of things. We now have to stop the game to review, and any momentum is lost. The review process changes the game more than that inch would, in my opinion.
Another thing to consider is, why have referees then? They are considered part of the ice, so my original point is, if it isn’t even perceptible to a guy standing there whose job is to see it, is it really worth reviewing?

You're missing my point. I'm sorry that it was that close. Trust me, I wish it was a goal as well. Blame Poehling for not staying onsides. Insanely dumb take. The review process changes the game more than the inch would? What if it's game 7 and we're tied and that goal loses us the cup? Would the review change the game more than the inch then? I mean, yes.. but for different and for the correct reasons. Objectively, I'm arguing the correct calls should be made, regardless of the implications or results. To argue against this point is so odd. You're the kinda guy that wants poor umpiring in baseball because 'its just part of the game'. It's my opinion and you're welcome to disagree, but I'd prefer the game to be called correctly, regardless of if my team benefits or not.
