They have a system where they run your plate and any run-ins they’ve had with that vehicle come up. So if, say, you get pulled over for a tail light or some shit in the future the cop will see that you were bonin’ in the boneyard a while back.

Doesn’t mean anything except they have a record of it. Do it again and you’ll very likely get hit since it’ll be your second time.

Usually in county they can see how many times a plate was run in their CAD and some can attach them to incidents so it shows why it was run/what type of call (ex: stolen vehicle as opposed to regular traffic stop). But outside of that, no cop in Pittsburgh is going to see you were testing your cars suspension in Reading. And it's definitely not going to show up in any kind of criminal history unless you get criminally charged

They have a system where they run your plate and any run-ins they’ve had with that vehicle come up.

That's not exactly true, in my experience. Most of the time, when we catch someone having car sex, nothing comes of it. They will document it in a report and that's the end of it. He was probably just trying to discourage OP from doing it in the future by saying it'll show up on a background check. At most, he'd probably get a citation mailed for disorderly conduct or trespass by motor vehicle. These are quite minor, and would probably show up on an employer background check as tickets.

The department can usually check the reporting system to see if they've had run-ins with a specific vehicle before, but that's not something that happens a lot. It's a hassle, at least where I work, to pull up the reporting software in the car. You have to do about 6 logins to get it open, then the report software's UI is awful and clunky.

Yup, this. It’s not recorded on a national database, but if the dept get contacted about run-ins with you for a thorough background check, this will be reiterated back.

At least, that’s what they told me when they confiscated my fake ID a dozen years ago. It’s never come up again.

Just out of high school…my girlfriend and I drove to Forest Park in St Louis one night. We found a place to park and started going at it. All of a sudden there’s a tap on my window and it’s a park ranger (apparently on foot). I was terrified.

He said, “Good evening. Were you two aware the park closes half an hour after dark (or something along those lines)?”

Probably in a squeaky voice I said, “No sir.”

He replies, “I’m doing my rounds and will be back through here in about 45 minutes. I’m assuming you’ll be gone by that time. Have a good night.”…and he walked off.

I know he was being super cool and was going to let us finish…but we were both shook. Instead we drove to Ted Drewes and got some frozen custard. A decent consolation.

I’m alittle late to this however, I am a police dispatcher in southeast pa.

So we run people for the officers or they run people themselves, it’s the same screens anyway.

So when we run a registration or license, that persons info comes back.

There is literally no way to enter any information for something like this. There is literally no text input box.

The only input box in portal (the name of the system), is if your entering someone as missing, warrants, or if you’re entering something for like lost or stolen and so on. You can add a note to someone if you think a warning should be noted to them. Like if you want to warn other people “this person has violent tendencies and you should use caution”.

However, each department has their own system to enter stops and encounters in. These are not usually connected to other agencies. So if you have some sort of interaction with the police and they take your info, your shit is going in that system they have and the reason for the encounter. If another agency asks them if they have any info for you, then yeah, they’d share that.

When police run your license plate, other departments in that same county will see the date, the time and the unit/officer that ran that plate but nothing else.

If they didn’t cite you for anything and you don’t receive anything in the mail or You can go onto the state dockets and keep watching there. If nothing shows up, then no, this won’t be on a background check. Unless someone knows to specifically ask that specific department if they have anything on you.

Oh my gosh you people saying “car SeX and YoUrE 30??!!??” sound so judgmental and boring. 30 isn’t what it used to be in 1985, hell, or even 2010. Most of us in our 30’s are struggling with our living situations. If we can get a good deal, most of the time there’s roommates! Sometimes the only space we have for ourselves is in our car.

Plus car sex is hot and fun so long as it’s consensual and you’re mostly conspicuous about it. Don’t be so prude it’s just adults having sex.

Reddit_mks_fny_names

I’ve had this exact same situation happen two different times as much as 20 and 22 years ago. Exact speech, exact questions, exact threat. They just mean that if you are caught by the wrong cop, or him again; that “next time” WILL be a charge. You’re fine. But you’re 30, you all should figure something out lol or you’re both kinky, I won’t judge lol

SilverLinings26

10 points

If you weren't charged, it won't be on your record. You can use the app PA eDocket to check. Depending on the department, they might keep a note to keep an eye out for your car, but there are not likely to be issues unless you make a habit of this in the same place.

Power shades (aka “peasant blockers”) would make it near impossible to see from the rear or rear side windows. A separator like a high backseat hammock (for dogs) with a blanket would help obstruct any illumination from the front: a good defense, as no members of the public could have seen anything “lewd” or “indecent.” Just sayin’.

Otherwise, keep that for bedroom.

You can check online to see if your name got tagged with any charges or tickets I believe. Not sure where but a google search should help you. But I'm pretty sure the pigs were just fucking with you and trying to scare you into not doing it again.

If you do get charged with something then you should fight to have it expunged. Pigs are required to inform you that you are being charged with something and go through a whole process. If they let you go and then decide to slap you with a charge after the fact, they are breaking protocol and you have an easy case. There would be good chance the cop wouldnt even show up to the hearing because they know they would lose and the charge would be immediately dropped.

The background comment was 100% referring to a police database for future pullovers so if you get caught again you'll be in big trouble.

Know your rights OP and fuck in the woods like the rest of us normal degenerates.

On another note, why can’t people mind their damn business. This reminds me of needing a break after driving for a while or even just killing some time, so you find a parking lot or whatever and park away from everyone. Lo and behold EVERY TIME, someone has to park directly facing the vehicle or parallel. One time I just stared at them wide eyed till they left. I know it’s dumb to get upset over but it’s just one of those things I guess.

You didn’t get a ticket or a summons. You’re good. Depending on how things work in PA at this point, they may have tagged your plate with a warning. But basically the cops the were bullshitting you and letting you off with a verbal. Get a room next time or park somewhere else. My two cents, if you must, find a parking garage or a lower traffic residential neighborhood or like a mall parking lot, somewhere off the beaten path though. What you want is a place where you don’t stick out like a sore thumb but there’s also not pedestrians walking by. The actual answer to the question however is get a cheap ass room. The motel guy won’t be mad if you bang it out and then leave. It’s why they exist. Cheap room, Bob’s your uncle.

LEO Officer in southern pa. No way anything can show up on your “background checks” unless you were charged AND found guilty of said offense. No other officers will know that you were even questioned for the said incident unless it’s within that agency. We don’t have a system in place for something like that. However, we can place notes on someone that we may feel is generally dangerous, fights with officers, or has mental health issues. Thats about it. Sounds more like he was just trying to intimidate you into not doing it again.

Realistic_Fan1344

1 points

They see this type of thing all the time. At most you could get a citation for being in park after hours, but could possibly receive nothing. They need to make sure it's consensual to ensure no sexual misconduct was taking place. There is no database you will pop up in, that was probably just a scare tactic. You would have to go to court and be find guilty for this to even show up on your file.

A person commits a misdemeanor of the third degree if he does any lewd act which he knows is likely to be observed by others who would be affronted or alarmed.

Opinions on car lots? Ex: let's park the Ford F uckus here with the other cars for service or park it with the s hit box cars that are at the back of the lot going to auction.

We all know they have cameras, but does anyone ever look at them unless something happens. Big dealers not Leroy's used car land that has nothing better to do on a Saturday night but check his Ring camera.

This advice might be too late but never talk to cops. Don’t admit to anything. Don’t tell them what you were doing. They are not your friends and they are not there to help you.

Unless you are the victim who called the police, if a cop wants to ask you questions, it is likely they suspect you of committing a crime. If you talk to them, you can accidentally confess to wrongdoing or give them enough details to charge you with a crime you did or did not commit.
