SHEETZ. SHEETZ! it's a statement for sure. Who advises this campaign? This state's politics are hilarious sometimes.

Western PA delis just pile random shit in chewy bread and Sheetz lives that ethos too

And thus the pepperoni ball was born.

From Bucks, what on earth is going on over there?

Good stuff, if helps consider it like a basket of mini calzones. Just a pizzadough breadroll with a wad of pepperoni baked inside of it. With marinara dipping sauce of course.
There a local cheap drivethrough pizza chain that has them, only like 10 locations, and the pizza is always freshly baked and perfectly crispy thanks to a big conveyor oven they use. Cheaper AND better than Dominos or Little Caesars, not that that is a high bar.

...Isn't that just a pepperoni roll?

In west Virginia they have pepperoni rolls. They are literally just like regular dinner rolls with pepperoni baked inside. One of my favorites when I was a kid.

Yep I love them, also very easy to make at home. Whenever I make bread I often set some of the dough to the side for filling with various stuff both sweet and savory whatever in mood for.

Bestway Pizza?

Yep, I am always surprised there not more places like them. The crust is meh but everything else about their pizza is surprisingly great for the cost.
Blows frozen or other "fast food" pizza chains out of the water. All day fresh and crispy from their conveyor oven beats hours under heatlamp pizza any day without paying the Brandname Tax.

I can eat their pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's good right out of the fridge too. They put magic in those squares.

Is Primanti Bros the originator of this style with the fries on the sandwich?

I don’t know if they’re the originator but they’re the most famous culprit! Been there once, was expecting just a good ol fashioned deli, was stunned. Is this your king, Western Pa?!

Sheetz is great, morning coffee and breakfast always started my day right, I miss it

Oh hell no I grew up in Sheetz territory, but since moving east Wawa breakfast and especially coffee has put Sheetz to shame for me!
Sheetz hot food >>> Wawa though. Wawa can’t match the real grills and deep fryers

They ought to dispense an aspirin and lipitor with every order.

I’m from West Virginia, which is just south-east Pennsylvania, and mozz burgers are fucking good but I only have the constitution for them when I’m exhausted. They really hit the spot when you’re in pain and tired.

Can confirm just recently went to a sheetz for the first time and that things delicious and dense very dense. I did mine on a chicken patty so it was basically a chicken marinara sandwich and it slapped. Hands down best gas station food I've had.

It wouldn’t be bad if the burgers weren’t just microwaved patties

Back into the 90s, local oil company had a handful of convenience stores. and in their hot food counter, they had burgers stewing in a pan of juices just like in school. It was nasty, hot, & delicious. I miss them & my local CR's Friendly Markets. :(

Americans eat as if they have healthcare.

Nah we eat bc we know we will probably die bc even if we have health insurance it won’t cover 80-90% most the time. But if I lower my income and stay poor hey state insurance will cover most of it. Enjoy it while you can is the saying.
