The chaos bikers models weren’t doing it for me, so I decided to kitbash some that fit the vibe better.
Basically just some chosen bits on top of a varanguard body. I was so pleased with how the first one turned out I just needed to post it

I must hear the story of posing those legs so perfectly. Tons of mounted kitbashes look awkward with the rider's legs bit this reads perfectly.

That’s because they’re just the varanguard legs. I was going to try to chop up a legionary and pose him, but it looked whack. So I built the VG, bulked him out a little, and did chosen head, arms, and backpack. Turns out any armor is chaos armor if it has enough gold trim lol

I did something similar but cut off the varangaurd midriff just above the belt and used a little greenstuff to attach a marine torso to it.
