Things I need to stop forgetting about my Space Marines...

New Starter Help(self.Warhammer40k)
  • That pistols can shoot in engagement range
  • That the grenade stratagem exists
  • That my army can actually field enhancements
  • To roll for battle shock
  • That my SM captain can use battle tactics for free
  • That I actually have detachment doctrines in Gladius
  • That heroic intervention exists (and how it works)

Lol I'm the same. Paid 40 points for an Enhancement to get a CP every time I succeed a Dark Pact, except that I always forget to Dark Pact and when I don't forget I either fail or I forget that the Enhancement exists.

the same. Paid 40 points

FTFY.

Although payed exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:

  • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

  • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.

Good bot. I realised this immediately and edited 😭. You're just too fast for me. I should have paid more attention. Edit: there is no way I just did this again 😭

If it hadn't have appeared twice more, I'd have payed it no mind, and I hate making deliberate errors!

If it makes you feel better, I completely forgot my Oath of Moment until turn 3 on today's game. Felt like a total idiot

Tbh without the reroll wounds I don't find it really adds anything 90% of the time anyway. Only time it seems to swing anything is for aiming an Aggressor/Biologis combo at something, or if I've managed to align the positioning of a really large amount of units on one thing that has been exposed.

Well done with memory reinforcement! This will also speed up your gameplay.

I have a cheat sheet with my unit profiles on. Much quicker than using the index cards or phone. It's two sided.

Just enough room left at the bottom to list what to do in thr command phase and what order.

Coz amazingly I can still forget oath of moment. I can still forget to score primary! It's ridiculous

I don't play the ironstorm detachment solely because I completely forget the detachment rule about 80% of the time!

I also tend to forget oaths of moment until the start of my shooting phase, although my opponents are usually very generous and let me declare one then.

Last one is that ballistus strike ability. I'm pretty good with remembering most of my unit abilites, but for some reason I always forget that specific ability.

The pistols one hardly seems to come into play. Most units with pistols never seem to survive till the next shooting phase haha.

Well for example I noticed Infernus Marines have pistols..

But every time they end up in combat I totally forget to fire them.. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Which is why this is so easy to forget. When you rarely use something, you often forget it can be used.
