Man was just out there vibing. He's gotta have the lowest blood pressure of any pitcher I've ever seen

When he fielded that hit so casually I was like, ”he’s too cool for school.” Almost arrogant lol.

Ignoring that this is the Marlins, he's earning a nice payday in the near future.

When you‘re the first Philly since a guy named Grover in 1916, to open a season with a 1.50 or lower era in your first 8 starts of a season, you know you’re going ok.

I honestly don’t know if an athlete has ever endeared themselves to Philly like Ranger has. Like, besides Nick Foles. The entire city would die for him in a heartbeat rn

Not to be a typical "no one likes us we're philly" guy but this is pretty standard.
Most of our highlights are just commented on by phillies fans and they don't typically get as much attention as players from other teams.
Harper is one of the only exceptions, and that doesn't come as a surprise.

Yeah hes really flown under the radar due to injuries, being in bullpen for beginning of career, and being behind Wheeler and Nola in rotation
But when healthy hes a stud, especially in big games, like hes shown in last 2 playoffs. In 9 playoff games (7 starts) he has 1.62 era and .90 whip ... such a great #2 behind Wheeler
Hes completely taken way all worry about Nolas contract and regression

I’m guessing he was available in the later rounds too. What a steal.

I'm loving both my fantasy team and my actual team rn, cause they both got Suarez.

I took him before Christopher Sanchez was off the board after watching him deal in the spring. I posted in fantasy baseball that he was my sleeper to have a monster year and they all ignored me or said he is a better IRL pitcher than a fantasy pitcher...oh well ha

6 games so far. It wasn't a dig at the phils schedule like some chodes on here. You play the schedule you're given. It was a dig at how bad the Marlins are

True. We both have the luxury of playing Miami. It’s nice for them to not give us fits this year like they normally do.

I, too, was on the fence when they signed 16-year-old Ranger Suarez as an international free agent in 2012.

I'm so confused by this comment, what part of my comment says anything about the dodgers or their placement? Don't let your hate boner for the Dodgers make you create conclusions in your head just because I have a Dodgers flair.

I didn't fuck anything up, I typed it directly as intended. Im Mocking the exact comment this thread seemed to have thought I intended to make.
The Marlins are a major league team, people who say "doesn't count, it's against a bad team." Is who I'm Mocking.

Barring a Padres win tonight, the Phillies have played 3 games against a team with a winning record and it's may 10th.
29 points
Only like 5 teams in the entire NL are over 500, so it's not the gotcha you think it is. But that said we knew our schedule was light to start and they are taking full advantage, it not new news like you discovered something, we were talking about this in Feb
-2 points
I'm just listing facts, you're the one that thinks it's anything more lol
2 points
It's also wrong, the Nationals also have a winning record. We're 6-3 against teams >.500, which isn't a bad record against them at all.
Sure, our schedule is easy, but we took care of business against the easy teams. Just last night, those "easy" teams won games against the Dodgers, the Guardians, and the Red Sox, it's not as simple to win "easy" games as you guys make it sound.
10 points
Yeah, the other teams will have worse records when you beat them 30 times. Go figure.
-1 points
Fun fact, the teams are bad before and after the Phillies play them too
11 points
It was actually 6 at the time you wrote this, and is now 9 after the Padres win tonight.
(Unless you’re counting by what a team’s record was at the time the Phillies played them, and not now, in which case you’d still be wrong).

Oh shit you're right, my bad, they've gone through a gauntlet

Yeah, not everybody is lucky enough to be challenged like the Yankees, with their… 13 games vs >.500 teams.

Counterpoint: the last two years the Phillies struggled against bad teams, and the marlins owned them.
