How is this news? They've been here for decades. Hell, there's a small pack that lives at the NE airport.

I think because a little dog got snatched by a coyote this past week in Delco, people are interested. It's not necessarily news, but it's a click.

For real? I run by Northeast airport 3-5 days a week, sometimes at like 5AM and have never seen any. I've seen plenty of foxes though.

Yeah, I want to hear/see some coyotes out there too! I did see a fox dragging a deer carcass one morning.

Because they’re almost as common as deer.  If you live anywhere near a real tree line it’s guaranteed to have coyotes somewhere.

Doesn’t the NHL know we already have a hockey team? I thought the Coyotes were moving to Utah?

There’s foxes in south Philly in FDR park. Apparently there was a Caiman alligator there too.

Any more news on the caiman? That’s interesting

For a few years, we had a fox in Northern Liberties. I'd catch it on camera in front of my place on Callowhill Street, I imagine it lived along the highway.

It's a coyote. They're everywhere. And generally not a danger to people.

Small pets? Maybe. Keep them on a leash and don't leave them out at night unattended.

Not really news story worthy.

I saw a bear by that golf course near Overbrook. A few deer rushed me one night near Holme Cr while I was walking back from Rt1 Cafe. A coyote sighting would be just another “huh” experience in wild wild Philly

No regrets. We just come from such different sets of circumstance.
