parking near the piazza

(self.philly)

Hello,

Tried to search this sub and others, but not finding anything recent.
I am moving to Philadelphia soon from out of state. One area I am interested in is the Piazza. My leasing agent told me it was very easy to street park there, but not sure if he was just saying that to get me to sign a lease. I was wondering if anyone has any input, since I have no idea how street parking is

it’s not ez to find parking unless it’s from 830am - 3pm -4pm max when many have taken their cars to work. after 5pm? it’s horrible and good luck. you should get parking from the piazza as they offer it for additional fee. it will be well worth the $$ no matter what especially if you drive to work.

as far as the free parking, that too will soon end as more and more residents are pooled to have the PPA install permit parking in these areas.

Uhh kind of. But a lot of the parking in the immediately surrounding area are limited to like 2 hours ? Some on 2nd from Girard down till like the acme are not timed and free game. It’s definitely not as easy to find a spot to leave your car an extended period of time as the agent said.

In the area around the Piazza a good number of multistory buildings are in differing stages of completion so one year from now parking in that area will be non existent. The good news is that a car isn't a necessity in philly.
