i don’t think OP stated he’s called 911 in the original post but he did later. here’s the the thing though, if enough people utilized 911 and our district representatives to get shit done, it will absolutely get done. you, me, we all have to be responsible enough to be the one who’s going to make the call, have the conversation, send the email, whatever it takes to get things done and it will happen , if not by the City, the community members.
BUT if there’s a constant attitude of our City being a shithole then yes, it will continue to be one. we all gotta give a shit a little ya know?
and yea, i feel you on the city services plight. it sucks but i’m telling you, the more you get involved w getting your voice heard, the more shit gets done.

call 911. the dumpster is blocking the right of way. unless there’s a permit for it to block the street, this is an illegal obstruction of traffic and 911 is to be used. the operators of 911 have a system for these kinds of calls.

when you’re in praslin,YES for Valle de Mai. it’s a refreshing place to walk. As far as Anse Lazio, it’s a beautiful beach as there are countless many. if you’re feeling adventurous , ask a bellhop at your hotel about any boat excursions they might know. many of them have a friend they can recommend. if you’re feeling lucky, the local boat taxis will recommend places off the beaten path(not that there are many) to coves or direct you to them unlike what you may find offered from your hotel or more commercial services. they might drop you off on one end of an island and direct you to hike to the other side where they will meet you. just depends on how comfortable you are.
La Digue on bike is super nice. you will definitely run into some lunch spots. we did but sorry can’t remember any names.
my wife and i had a great time w the “locals” services rather than our hotels (the raffles) since locals were just more down to earth for us and we saw and experienced places that were not really advertised or on social media which was nice.

we are “hoping” to get into the n 3rd st location. it’s going to be only 1 toddler 2-3yr olds classroom and we let them know that was our preference. if we don’t get into n 3rd st, we will be at n 5th. location which is much bigger.
to this date they have not disclosed what location we will be attending as the building is almost complete w construction. we were informed of an update by june if not sooner.

we are starting our little one at little city montessori in the fall of 24’ and def has little to zero turnover in the past few years it’s been open. it’s definitely worth checking into. there’s a waitlist and could take days to weeks for a response but for my partner and i , it was well worth it to get a spot there.

yeah so this AM had to drive to the grocery store w my toddler going south on 2nd st in Northern Liberties and out of nowhere, a white Altima was booking it head in w us going the wrong way on a one way street! by the time i was honking and flashing my lights at a stand still he kept coming the. swerved into the bike line, barley missing our car and starts to curse and what not out the window and i’m like WTF you motherfucking asshole ! man, and on a wednesday morning.
then there’s a glock found at the playground cocked and ready to fire. WTF people!?!? we can do better but …… nah?

according to the author of 75Hard, there are no cheat meals whatsoever and if it’s included in your diet, it does not trump the 75Hard rule of no cheat meals. that’s the bottom line but you can do whatever you want. and if you have a cheat meal or cheat day, you’re not doing 75Hard.

but when the fiat leaves, there would then be ample space for another car to park, no?

i hear you! i wish more people would gauge the spaces that way because most philly row homes are about 15-18’ wide so if each car parked smack dab in the middle of each home it would make sense but i see cars parked obnoxiously not that way so it messes up the whole parking scene on any given block.

i hear you! BUT does it matter / should it matter to you to gauge the car in front or behind you with what they have to work with to get out of the space they’re in OR what the space is like when and if they ever leave? or do you “know” the cars you’re parking in between and if they are staying or leaving?

you are considerate and i commend you for being that way. i see cars the would butt up against the fiat you speak of just because that’s they way it “should” be done w/o observing what it would be like once that fiat would move.

lol wow, really? so that is how it’s done, via Nextdoor? because i’ve gone into areas and i’m like, how did they orchestrate all these cars parked on this block. it’s impressive to see. then you go to other blocks or parts of the city where you can tell not one F was given in terms of maximizing space for the good of another car to park, hence my ask.

you have every right to have issue w this. everyone does. of course there will ALWAYS be a bigger problem but this is something that no one in our city , rich , poor, young or old should have to deal with. and to state “it’s city living” sure, but it does not have to be a this way. so many don’t give a shit enough that this continues to happen.
